Yeah, i also like many other Bayern fans never been the biggest fan of him. I mean.. You have one of the best right back since ever in Philipp Lahm, and then you place him in midfield because its a funny idea he gets? Its a disgrace. There is many things about Pep i dont like. I admit he had some matches with us, where we played really well. All though i think he´s been a disaster in the big ChL games. He´s stubbornness and tactics have ruined many things for us there - i fear the same will happen against Juve.

For that matter i also look forward to get a coach more like Jupp Heynckes in Ancelotti. Carlo seems like a very likeable person, and i wanted him to Bayern for quite a long time. Not only likeable, but he´s trophies collected as a coach also speech for itself. He´s not been good domestic, but in the ChL he done a fantastic job.

I think that Carlos style of football will make Bayern better in the ChL. Not in the Bundesliga, but internationally.
Its just so sad. Heynckens develops a team that absolutely tore about Guardiola's antifootball, and then they get the very coach who's idea they destroyed. Bayern could have had a cycle with 3 Cl finals in a row, with the right coach and players that add to the system and style.

Meanwhile, you could be happy you didnt lost Javi Martinez. Cause any coach alike Heynckens is going to use that guy as a pillar for the team

Vidal: 'No Juve celebration'
By Football Italia staff

Arturo Vidal pledged not to celebrate if he scores for Bayern Munich against his old club Juventus. “I’m an opponent, not an enemy.”

The first leg in the Champions League Round of 16 kicks off on Tuesday at 19.45 GMT.

“I return to Turin as an opponent, not an enemy,” he assured in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I don’t know how I will be welcomed, but I hope the fans don’t jeer. I am excited about this game and it’ll be strange to see myself there with another jersey.

“If I score, then I won’t celebrate. In four years I learned and won a great deal. I left because it was an opportunity for me and a good move for Juve, so we were all happy.”

Vidal has been keeping a close eye on his former teammates from Germany.

“I had no doubts the Bianconeri would come back into the Scudetto race. Even when they were in 12th position I knew they’d get back to the top, because the squad is so strong and never gives up.

“I watch Juve on TV. In Munich I spend my whole time at home or playing football.”

Juventus reached the Champions League Final last season, but are Bayern Munich the favourites?

“I think we each have a 50-50 chance of qualification,” argued the Chile international.

“If I could take one of Juve’s players, it’d be Paul Pogba, as if he works hard then he can become among the best in the world.

“I’d also take Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci. Paulo Dybala’s success is not really a surprise.”

Bayern were trailing at half-time against Darmstadt yesterday, but fought back to win 3-1 amid an injury crisis in defence.

“Struggling on a few crosses can happen, but even if we’re a fairly short team, we really fight to get the ball. Will I play in defence? No.”

There is also some tension off the field with Pep Guardiola announcing he’ll leave at the end of the season to take over at Manchester City.

“It was strange and we only learned about it by watching TV. Pep reminds me of Antonio Conte in the way he speaks and looks after the details.

“In any case, after him we’ll have a fine Coach like Carlo Ancelotti. For now we want to win everything so Pep can leave happy.

“Who is the stronger team between Bayern and Juve? We’ll see on Tuesday. I haven’t given my teammates any special advice, as they know how strong Juve are even without Vidal.”

I don't see why Vidal is less of a legend than Zidane or Pirlo...
Because Zidane helped take us to 2 CL finals, and almost a 3rd... He didn't tuck tail and immediately bolt after a single CL final loss, saying he wanted to go somewhere where he could win the CL. He spent a few more years here, and in the end his departure had a lot to do with his wife and feeling like he wasn't expressing his best on the pitch any longer for Juventus. Zidane is also one of the best players of all time.

Pirlo gave 4 years of his best to the club, and moved on once he realized he couldn't contribute at the top level, has said nothing but good and respectful things about the club since leaving, and was a top 5 player in all football in 2011-12 to 2012-2013. He's also an all-time great, who was the best player on our first 2 post-calciopoli scudetti and a very important part of all 4.

Vidal was a big part of the 4 scudetti. He was our best midfielder for the 3rd, maybe even best player alongside Tevez that year (2013-14)... But he lost 1 CL final and immediately decided he should move to a "bigger club", expressed that his time at Juve got him ready to play for one of the real big clubs of football, Bayern. He's also not even close to being an all-time great player, for Juve, or for any club.

Obvious differences are obvious.

Well i have read some few users said they despise Bayern. If it more was in fun or troll comments i can´t say, then its my bad if i couldnt red the irony/sarcasm in it. Some guys claimed that Juve deffinatly got a bigger history than Bayern which i disagree about - like i mentioned above its equal in my opinion.

Its a great forum you guys have here btw.

Yes Hoeness and Rummenige can be some fools sometimes. I will admit that even as a Bayern fan. All though its more in the past, than today.
As long as I can remember, my favourite club has been Juventus and my most hated club Bayern. Why? Just because.

And that's the beauty of football, it's one of the very few things in this rational world where you can be completely irrational and blindly love one team and its players and absolutely despise another for no good reason at all.

That said, I have also come to realise that even among Bayern fans, some are good people, to loosely quote the greatest politician and bricklayer of our time. And seeing as your first few posts have been really good, welcome :)

I don't see why Vidal is less of a legend than Zidane or Pirlo...
Well it's hair-splitting to me with those examples as none are Juve legends in my eyes, but here it goes anyways:

Zidane was the best player in the world in his time with us.
Pirlo was the better player overall in his carreer (compared to Vidal), and didn't leave us for another club due to ambition, but essentially retired.

Hello to all Juve fans in here. I have followed this forum some time, and decided to create a user now. Well first of all i really look forward to the games against you, it will be exciting. Its 50/50 matches even with an advantage to Juve because of our injuries in the defence.

I also have a question, because i dont get the Bayern hate some users have in here? Yes i fully understand that there allways will be clubs that you like more than others, and some you despise. But why Bayern? The club have a giant history like you. I dont have anything against Juventus, not at all. If it ends out with an early exit to Bayern, then i hope you guys will have a good run in the CHL, you deffinatly have my sympathy.

And i noticed that you debated a lot about which club that got the bigger history. Well... To be honest i think the clubs are equal. But to say that Juve deffinatly have a bigger history than Bayern is nonsense and biased. :sergio: The clubs are pretty much equal. Again this is not to be provocative or a troll, because like i said i have a lot of respect for Juventus as a club.

What we can agree on big time is the despise for those overrated shitty Premier League clubs. I cant stand many of them, and theyre fans neither. So its allways big fun, when i read youre post about them - the Bayern hate not so much though.

The thing Vidal said wasnt smart at all. I remember some of the same happended when Toni Kroos left Bayern for Real Madrid, so i understand youre rage towards him. Its never cool when a former player says something like that.

Finally i just wanna wish you guys some nice games. I hope they will be fair played, and with brilliant football. Two giants in club football meet again, so my expectations are high.
If you are referencing my posts... I don't think I said Juve has a definitely better history... what I said was Bayern trumps Juve in CL titles, and Juve trumps Bayern in League titles (in a clearly superior league) and overall UEFA competition titles... One may interpret that however one likes I suppose, but there really isn't any rational measure to suggest Bayern's history is superior to Juventus'... I was more so taking umbrage to the fact a Juventus fan would argue such a thing on a Juventus forum. It shows a complete disregard for the massive history of our club.

Aside from this, I do think our history is slightly better than Bayern's as I do rate the Scudetto very highly considering the quality of Serie A for most of its history. But this should be expected on a Juventus forum. Just as I would expect a Bayern fan to rate their history slightly better, and most Bayern fans I have met confirm this. The reality, like you say, is that their is very little separating the clubs. And I never did say that Juve history is far superior or definitely better, I'm more of the idea that the two clubs each have massive and title-filled histories.

I don't have any Bayern hate. Most of the Bayern hate on here is from German Juve fans. Which is understandable. Not many despise Bayern like Barca and Madrid or BPL nonsense clubs.

Anyways, welcome. Good post.

I want our fans to jeer him all the time whenever he touches the ball at loudest possible level.Trying to be polite. He was happy with the transfer but he is not allowed to speak about our view about his transfer. We were friendly towards him and accepted his wish.Otherwise we could make an auction with other clubs a make more money.I stop watching Bayern games because of that turd which was my favorite player alongside Gigi,Chiello ,Claudio and Tevez lately. Now I hate him utmost. Not because of his departure but because about his words that ,after he gain some experience here he is READY for Bayern .Also for publicly inviting Coman to Bayern. He should learn from Nando how to be a sportsman .We literally kicked him out and he never said anything bad about us.Fuck Vidal. He will never be a Juve legend. No way.Just a player who spent few years here. Not a single word or attribute more.

First of all we have as much injuries as you do.Maybe some of our players will recover at last minute.I don't hate Bayern.I am indifferent about this club.I hate Inter and Real. But if you see here that some members hate Bayern it is not without reason.Last time when we met at first game when Buffon conceded at first minute from a 30+ meters goal, your beloved Rummenige called him a grandpa and a retired goalkeeper.Do you think that were words of a sportsman and a gentleman above all?To a world No1 keeper EVER.You can argue with this statement but this the brightest truth.Yes Bayern have some great keepers in its history but Gigi is one and only ,both,on and off the pitch. You have,in my opinion now No1 keeper in the world but we will all see if he will be at the same level after so many years.
About Vidal I don't give a fuck about his statements. He can't be bigger than this club.No way.He is now your player.Fine with me .But just remember how was Rummenige pissed of when Vidal had a verbal agreement with Bayern and ended at Juve.I know about that Leverkuzen story that they wouldn't let their player to strenhtgen the rival but a word is a word.He is simply a mercenary .And I don't rate Pep much..Your previous coach was a classy one.Three times better than Pep.And I can't stand the biggest diver amongst players in the world ,Robben.Crying pussy on every start. He was like that at Real, the same at Chelsea and Bayern now.Just read what Mourinho writes about him, that after a slightest knock at training he demanded 2 weeks off. That's it.I am not biased.I don't know who will win but don't think that you will walk on the park and win.Be sure of that.

You have a good point here. I think its normal to be biased about youre own football club, so we agree on that. Both clubs are great both now and in the past.

Buffon is a fantastic goalkeeper but the best in history? I dont know. I rate him in top 3 though, thats for sure. Casillas on the other hand.. I allways found him a little overrated, but i know Real Madrid fans would disagree big time on that. Its hard to say about Neuer, but i think he have the opportunity and the skills to become the best ever - if he keeps perfoming on the level he does offcourse. If he starts decline in 2-3 years, then its another story. He allready been voted the best goalkeeper 3 times though, and hes only 29 nearly 30 years old. Which means he has a lot of good years back in him.

Btw it was Beckenbauer who said those things about Buffon and not Rummenigge. Beckenbauer was an amazing player, and won everything he could with Bayern and Germany both individually and as coach, but i agree that he often said some stupid things. The thing he said about Buffon was rubbish, thats for sure.

Btw when did i talk about a walk in the park? If you read my post, then you will see that i say it will be vert tough matches for Bayern. Where do you see the disrespect? Chill a little..

Sorry, you are right. It was Beckenbauer.True.He was really classy, outstanding, one of the most elegant players of his time. That said, never gives him right to give such a statements.Like Beckenbauer ,Buffon is a living legend. He is real sportsman on and off the pitch.Anyway ,we agree on that.
And in my opinion Buffon is the best goalkeeper in the history of football. It is only my opinion and I am not biased as a Juve fan.Cassilas?Like you say he is overrated .Not close to Buffon.
I never say that you wrote something about going out on the pitch and easily winning. It is my opinion that it won't be so easy for Bayern to win.
