the fact is Vidal didn't kill or harm anyone! if he did then that is a an entirely different argument all together!
So he needed to kill someone for him to man up?! Wtf man. He needs to grow up, the drinking and partying like he's a teenager is lame. He is not only a role model he's a professional. Act like it. This isn't the first alcohol related instance with him. Words are cheap

the deed is actually the same. just because nobody got hurt or killed by chance does not make it any different. it was not his behaviour that led to nobody being hurt. it was just luck.

if i take a gun, shoot at a crowd of people and by chance the shell flies past everybody without doing harm is that less bad than doing the same and killing or hurting somebody ?

You can't completely seperate the action from the consequences. That way nothing stops you from saying you could have driven into a crowd of people and you should go to jail for killing 50 people. That would be insane.

Yeah, but of course there's a whole other dimension to it if someone really does get killed / severely injured.
Thats true aswel.

belgium handles this also with different severity.

When i was in police court for speeding, i got off average. Anyone who got there for drunk driving, got significantly more punished. And rightfully so.

People dont realise the difference in reaction and stopping time between speeding and driving under influence

i am not saying that vidal should be punished as if he had hurt somebody.

but the stupidity he showed is totally the same compared to somebody who actually has driven under influence and hurt or killed somebody.

I never said sell drama queen. He needs some punishment, huge fine or suspension. Needs to learn actions have consequences even if your a superstar. You're the one defending criminal activity because he plays good football

Kinda like Chile's law, as far as i have comprehended it so far

Severing or killing a person in traffic when DIU is a sentence between 1 and 10 years. When not severing or killing a person, its still 120 days licence revoked.

Suits me.

That much is definitely true. Unfortunately we all do stupid things. I just hope we could at least refrain from doing evil things.

It's the way he works though. Either he learns from this experience or he doesn't but no fine or suspension is going to make him learn.

no one wants to sell him.

we are just pointing out drunk driving is dangerous and stupid, isn’t it?
no im defending him because people think they are perfect and if you make a mistake no matter how stupid he shouldn't be forgiven and the club should go to extreme lengths to reconsider signing south american players and punish vidal till he learns his lesson
