He look as healthy as ever, just need to regain fitness. Great defensive and movement off the ball as always. What a gem.
I hope that now that he stayed during this window, he completely forgets the idea of going away (if he ever really considered that - and it looks like he did, given his declarations) and stay for the long haul. He will be 28 in the next transfer window, and European bigs don't usually come calling like crazy for players of 28 on.
