I just love this guys enthusiasm for the club and it showed on the pitch. He looked so tired by the end of the match. He has what it takes to be one of the best in the world I hope he can do that with us this season.

Yeah, might have been in stoppages (or nearing 90, at least) when he was beyond gassed, and he still ran back and won the ball one last time. Someone else must have saw this!

I wouldn't say Vidal has a huge amount of brains or composure. He has more than Sissoko does though.
He definitely showed he has some football brain becoming involved in that nice one-two with Marchisio for the goal. Last season his passing was excellent so hopefully with more game time his passing and shooting improves.

He was like that for full 90 minutes. I actually think he was our best player when you consider both halfs. Although it was Marchisio who scored, so he rightfully is the hero.

I voted him MOM.

But of the instance I spoke of, it stood out to me in particular, because just before he made that tackle the camera had zoomed in on his face and he was knackered. Had his mouth hanging open, breathing hard. To see him still make that crazy effort was just awesome to me.

His daisycutter that just went wide of the left post was actually a really good effort.

More than lacking shooting technique, I think it's more a matter of his composure and decision-making.

Is he getting an assist for the first goal? I think he should.
Vucinic made the last pass, not Vidal. But neither Mirko got an assist because Bonera got to the ball first and it was from Bonera's clearance that Marchisio scored.

Btw, for the 2nd goal everything that Vidal did was brilliant. First that crazy header, then he immediately stands up, runs back, sees that Claudio is about to shoot and in the end he dives
