We are so going to regret this on the field this season, but there is still hope that the financial bow wont be as bad as it looks atm, out of the 50mil difference, we made 20 by not buying Aquilani and we need to cover 30mil by the sales of Melo+Sissoko, if Marotta pull this off, the the downgrade of our midfield will remain momentary, as we can reinvest and rebuild next year. Our permanent downgrade to a mid-table Serie A team, is not yet unavoidable...

Cronios is exaggerating as always but it is true that at least on paper our midfield won't really look much improved, if any at all.
32 yo Pirlo for Aquilani, Vidal for Melo and Pazienza for Sissoko....that's not some improvement. Of course, in practice this could be much more successful, but chances are also that it won't.
