If our offer is the same as Bayern's, I doubt Bayer Leverkusen would be more willing to sell to their direct rivals in the standings. Bayern finished 2 pts behind them last season, and selling their best player to them would make a repeat performance even more difficult.

From Bayern Munich's official website:

Vidal a confirmed target

Nerlinger and new head coach Jupp Heynckes also confirmed Bayern’s interest in signing Leverkusen midfielder Arturo Vidal, who has “very clearly" stated his desire to follow his former boss to the south. “But we've also noted the comments made by the Bayer Leverkusen directors," Nerlinger remarked.

The Rhineland outfit do not wish to sell the Chile star, currently in the preparatory phase ahead of the Copa America. “So again, we'll have to wait and see," stated Nerlinger. Should Vidal not be released this summer, even though that would be “against expectations," according to Heynckes, the 24-year-old would be able to join Munich on a free transfer in 12 months’ time.

would be pretty hard to get him if bayer wouldn't mind him joining bayern. heynckes surely wants him there after coaching him with leverkusen. only chance is that bayer doesn't want to sell to an direct rival... than ofcourse we have to splash some cash on his wages cause he could play cl next season even with leverkusen

if bayer is smart, they'll sell him to us if we come anywere near bayeren's offer.

then again, they sold their best players from their killer team also to bayeren a couple of years ago so...
