It's not proven at all that he did anything. It wouldn't be the first time in the country that some star****er comes up and makes some silly claim. In the past few years we've had similar cases with Ronald Koeman, Theo Lucius, Patrick Kluivert (28x ) and a tv host. I wouldn't make a judgement until van Persie gets convicted.

PS If he is guilty he deserves to be locked up for a long time, no question about that.

Van Persie's reputation wasn't exactly clean. He was thrown out of the squad three times at Feyenoord, before he finally left to Arsenal. There have always been major doubts over his mentality. I don't think this is a case of a young footballer with too much time and money, he would have ended up in jail eventually if he wasn't a footballer.
