He wasn’t bad at Napoli. When there were rumors to swap him for Berna personally I wasn’t against it.

But like everyone here I find this transfer underwhelming because I was expecting a lot more this mercato.

I like Kean more on the wing than central anyway. And its not just Allegri that played him on the wing, he played there occasionally at PSG and with the national team under Mancini. Actually, his best game with the NT came on the wing.

Ideally we would never play Kean anywhere.

Signing Milik doesn't solve the issue on the wing though. That still exists. I'd hope they're looking at wingers as well, for example Fabiana still thinks theres a chance for Zaniolo. If we dont add another wing were essentially praying Di Maria stays fit and Chiesa returns to 100% this season. Two big ifs.

Kean's role will depend on if we get Depay or Milk. The way I see it, when you start with one CF, you need one backup CF and an "eclectic" third option that can play there if needed.

Depay would be the third option. If Milik comes, Kean's would be the dual winger and striker role in squad.

Depay the player is much more desirable than Milk (esp while Di Maria is out), but there's high risk Allegri thinks he isn't defensively good enough as winger and will continue with the terribad 442 hybrid instead of a classic 433.
