Actually, I would disagree. We did create plenty of chances. Chances are more than just shot's on goal. A chance was Del Piero's missed volley at the very beggining, or when he failed to trap the ball properly, or when Zalayeta's shot was blocked. IMO we did enough of attacking.
Even if you exclude those potential opportunities that failed to materialise we created a lot of chances. Zlatan was wasteful in front of goal on about four or five occasions, Zalayeta had a couple of volleys miss the target, Del Piero's long range effort was spilled, and Camoranesi conjured a few shots. We certainly kept the Real backline and Casillas busy.

Nothing wrong with being defensive, but we have to be effective in attack. Not Ronaldinho-esque with alot of fancy passing and ball control, but some conservative and careful buildup play and and a high workrate to win possession. Our current policy of playing two defensive mids means we have to be able to take whatever few chances we can create, and be able to create a few good goalscoring opportunities while keeping a solid backline, instead of a hatful of half-chances.

Zlatan is not effective whatsoever,he is pretty much the opposite. He is able to create alot on his own,but he ruins everything with a stupid pass or blazing a shot over the bar.Even when he gets the ball from way out after some good work from the team,he chooses to take a shot from forty yards instead of doing something remotely productive.Once he improves on these aspects of his game, namely passing, shooting and decision making,we will have a star for the big stage.Until then,he doesn't fit into the team and either comes up with a virtuoso performance or sticks out like a sore thumb.Del Piero is guilty of this to a smaller extent, due to his inability to deal with physical challenges and inconsistency.

How can you call that ugly Seven?

I'd rather be 'ugly' and in the quarters than be 'beautiful' like Barca and Real and be out.

By the way, can you find yourself a copy of Barca-Milan from 94 with Don Fabio on the bench and analyse it before you start expecting 'beautiful' football?

    Juventus:
    - DP's missed volley
    - Zlatan's disgusting shot at goal
    - Camoranesi's shot
    - DP's pretty harmless shot
    - Trezeguet's goal
    - Zalayeta's volley
    - Zalayeta's goal

That's 7 chances of which 4 could have been actual goals. Real Madrid, who played a lot worse than we did, still created 2 chances which should have been goals. In 2003 we created 8 or 9 chances that could have been goals. Sure you can shoot from 70 yards and claim it could have gone in, but in truth it's all pretty harmless.

Ok, we all must admit that our win over real 2 years ago was EPIC!!!!!!I had a feeling that i had not that year after we won.But ok we are in the next round
Exactly. Juventus used to be capable of playing epic games and reaching heroism. This team, formerly known as Juventus, simply is not.

What on earth is that supposed to mean? Milan played beautiful football that day. You can't compare that team with Juventus.

I think we played entertaining football last night. We finally looked like we were playing with urgency, and even though we might not have created a whole lot I still believe we played well. Of course we are not going to be able to play like Barca or AC Milan because we don't have the players, so we make due with what we have.

I think we played some good football last night, and whether its ugly or not is your own opinion. I for one thought we made some nice moves, especially on an individual level, and it was one of the most exciting matches we played all season. For our capability we played good football, although it was a pretty tight match.

Now when looking at the entire season we have played some pretty ugly football, however solid and consistent at the back. Of course it's rather difficult to be both at the same time, however we chose the latter and that has given us good results this season.
The thing is we didn't have that many good players two years ago either. We played the most beautiful football in Europe with guys like Montero, Tacchinardi and Ferarra. I believe Capello wants Juventus to play ugly. And if that is going to win us the Champions League I'm very happy. But whereas I loved to watch Juventus play two years ago, I now only watch because I support Juve.

We have our own style, and we do play nice in many matches, but we play shy football, i mean we are concerned with defence more than spanish or english teams, and thats positive... for example barcelona got kicked because of their careless style of play when it comes to defending..

seven, playing 'beautiful' - by most standards - at least Juventus CREATED chances. missing them is another issue.

Zlatan's finishing is terrible, but I think he has improved - he no longer dribbles too much and some of his passes and crosses have been decent. He might not have the full package, but his presence is definitely beneficial to juventus.

Yesterday evening was indeed a "serata fantastica", but it wasn't exactly one of those evenings that will go down in Champions League history. Juventus-Real Madrid two years ago will.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy we beat Real, I'm just disappointed in the way we did it. Two years ago we humiliated them, playing the most beautiful football I had ever seen. Yesterday we waited and waited only to strike when the oppurtunity came up. We didn't impress at all, but managed to get a maximum result with a minimum of attacking plays and effort.

I'm a bit disappointed our team has become not so beautiful to watch. Yes, I know, Juventus is Italian. But Juventus was Italian two years ago as well.

I wouldn't say we are ugly or maybe Zalayeta is no great catch and neither is Montero , well maybe Camoranesi with his silly ponytail nut on the whole , I wouldn't say we are ugly

Is this Seven vs. all ?
First, I don't care what they or you think of Juventus, in Italy, DEFENCE is style.
Btw while Barça was losing 3-0, it wasn't a joy watching them, all the balls they passed, were unsuccesfull.
    I don't call that beautifull

Are you actualy a Juventus fan or are you here just to make our team redicilous?
Man, wtf is your problem, we are in the QUARTER FINALS and we have beaten REAL MADRID and who cares HOW?

    For example : EuroCup 2004
    Greece won the title.
And do you think that the Greece supporters ****ing thinked of : ''We didn't played stylish, **** the title we haven't played good football...''
They didn't gave a ****, for the rest of their lives, Greece is HERO and MASTER of EuroCup 2004 and they don't give a **** how, but the important thing is that they got it.
So what is the problem with you?
To me, ugly football is :
Chelsea, they play such gay football and that Mourinho allways complaining in the media for EVERYTHING.
THAT is ugly, but have you ever heard Capello saying :
**** R. Madrid and Zidane, it wasn't a freekick, Zidane dived and they got lucky with the goal from Helguera.
NO and Capello will NEVER EVER say such things.
Capello lets his team/football do the talking, and not blaiming the referees or the media or whatsoever.
What happends on the pitch is not important.
It's important that the SCORE counts.

Maybe you should think about it...
