Obviously none of this is my own opinion, and I do not agree with much of it, but there is some truth to this.

Since Milan is slacking, and Roma is inconsistent, we are pretty much the only serious contendors for the Scudetto. I'm afraid that at the end of the season we will be recounting all the points we lost (unfairly) and say if only this or if only that. First off, we are eight points away from Inter (assuming they beat Lazio which they will), and although we have played all our big games already (only Lazio left), our away record is particularly troublesome esp. for a team aiming for the title.

At the same time, refs have cost us enough points this season and I sincerely hope we've seen the last of it against Parma. Then again, for a team aiming for the title, the points we've lost are already more than enough.

Wk 3 Udinese
1 point (DP penalty)
Wk 4 Roma
2 points (Tott offside on first goal)
Wk 7 Fiorentina
2 points (very soft Legro penalty)
Wk 9 Napoli
1 point (we already know why- 2 scandalous calls)
Wk 12 Parma
2 points (non-existant penalty on Reginaldo)

As you can see, this adds up. The previous are EIGHT points we lost due to dubious calls. The table would certainly look very different as we'd be on par with Inter.
it would have been a win agaisnt udinese. Do not for get iaquintas perfectly good goal which was disallowed.

I won't go to how unjust Juve were treated or HOW fortnate ref decisions came down on Inter, its a topic that is not worth discussing anymore..

I don't care about other teams, I only care about Juve. I am very proud of Juve to be where they are now. We have been missing alot of key players for a long time. I am hoping as soon as our players (e.g. camoranesi) are back we will even have better results. Did inter win the scudetto yet? Its too early to say so. I wouldn't put my money on them yet ;) Juve are known for their astonishing second half of the season ;)
as long as you keep capello out of it !

Is this season about rebuilding or trying to win the scudetto?

For me, lo scudetto is not an objective..if inter want it, then so be it. they can fight for that and the CL as far as i am concerned. I just want a top 4 finish. Coppa Italia would be great if we won that also.

Inter can get given scudetti, win scudetti without juve being there and with many other teams starting on minus points...at the end of the day, Milan's objectives these days is only the CL, that evident these past couple of seasons. Juve's is only to qualify for the CL.

Completely agree, mate. That´s why I think we are not Scudetto challengers, our away record is pretty poor. Things could get better but I don´t see Inter slipping away soon.

hahahaha, harsh but true. But you need to make a distinction between what points we 'deserve' and what points we actually 'earned' if it hadnt been for some irregular calls. We didnt deserve to win against Roma or Parma, but at the same time we earned it regardless. You wont always deserve to win but sometimes u just crunch the right results regardless... we've done that on these occasions, but the refs havent been particularly helpful.

I am just going to snap if Inter all of a sudden bag three scudettos in a row... 2 of which they never deserved in the first place. If there is any time when Inter should slip, that time is now given their injury crises and what not but IT ISNT HAPPENING!
Yeah, I don´t really understand these people who attack some of our fans who are supposedly "whining". What the fuck should I do, be happy that the referees are robbing us? Get a grip. This is the exact behaviour that led to Calciopoli. We have been attacked and we surrendered. This won´t happen again. This time we should strike back. Fuck them all.

Well, true that Inter have the best squad in Italy, but the season is long and minding they have other committments, everything is possible...
We are building a squad, so our goal is a CL spot. we can think about scudetto from next year...

:disagree: .. Mark, why would anyone whine if it's not gonna have any effect?

If you have a voice that is listened to, go ahead bitch about it all you want. Unfortunately, all the talks we talk here in the forums aren't heard by anyone but us. It goes insignificant. What good would it do? Other than being called a whiner (If that's any good, anyway) .. And technically, the behavior that lead to Calciopoli isn't ignoring the mistakes of referees. It's all the constant whining all non-juventini whined about juve winning everything by false refereeing .. etc.

I'm not talking here about the rage wave the forum had after, let's say Napoli's game. That's normal .. I'm talking about now, what's done is done. Living the past won't do you any good. We weren't perfect anyway. We didn't put the scudetto as an objective in the first place. Why would we bring up people's errors and forget ours?

Let's fix ourselves then try to whine about others (And that's the normal logical way things are done!). We're doing a good job fixing ourselves, I know. Our performances are generally increasing in quality. The team is gelling. But the cold rigid truth is we're not the best team yet.

The least you can do is whine all you want as long as you admit that it's not the only reason we're not on top of the table.

After all, as someone here said before, the scuedetto isn't Juve's birth right! ..

When I heard the commentater during the milan game say if Inter win the league it will be a hatrick of Scudettos I was near sick.

No one will remember about the paper Scudetto or the point deductions, they will just remember Inters domination.

I think that we will come on strong in the second half. And we have to remember that milan still play Inter so there is a possible 2-3 points we gain on them before the break if not more. The team we have has never played together very much and were not expected to do what they are doing. Plus what if Tiago gets in form or Ibra isnt putting up so many goals. What if we get another player that boosts us to the scudetto. We arent milan sitting at 8th we are juventus in 3rd and CL is going to get tougher. We are still definately in this.

A better away record would really help our game. We've only won two of our seven away games against Cagliari and .... hehe surprise Torino!!!

2 (Cagliari, Torino- which isnt really an away game)

4 (Roma, Fiorentina, Parma and Milan)

    1 (Napoli)

There is room for improvement as many of u have stated, but I still wont downplay the signficance of poor refereeing decisions.

Our remaining away games are against Lazio and Catania. Let's hope we get all 6 points from these games.

To be a bit more optimistic, we are playing three (Milan, Roma and Viola) of our four big games at home in the second half of the season. So we should be able to pick up more points in the second half.

Let's admit that inter is a strong team this term. They'll for sure win this one. Still, I want juventus to give them a hard time. I want to see a competition between these three : Juventus, Inter and Roma till the end.

As a Juve fan how can you say they allready have it...this isnt2006 there are plenty of teams that could upset them and a tie to a midtable club is an upset too. We will only get better and it bothers me that juve "fans" are throwing in the towel allready. Or as I think about it half of you never gave them a chance. Lets let them decide it on the field and get behind our team.

...but becoming champions right after the promotion and saying "we're back in town, bitches" would be soo Juve like.

I agree completely... and I like the Edgar Davids attitude! :xmas:

If we maintain what we've done so far, with fewer refereeing errors, we can make things happen. Even as it stands, and taking into account some of the unfortunate decisions that went against us, this has exceeded our expectations. If we can maintain this momentum and improve our away record, we can give Inter a hard time. As it stands, we are 8 points away tho and Inter they have Milan to play-which could work in our favor.
