Modena's tactics served them well yesterday. They hung with the mighty Juventus and only a crucial mistake by their defender gave Juve the victory. It was frustrating to watch being a Juve fan, but I know that it is what Modena had to do to have a shot. Hats off to them for a hard fought game. They gave it everything they had, played dirty and fell just short. Congratulations to Juventus for sticking to it and fighting all the way as well.

Analyzing Juves play though it seemed that against a more formidable foe, some of the Modena breakouts and counter-attacks may just work when Juve get to into their attack. We still need to stay cautious and remeber that defense is what we are all about and we need to stand by that. We could get burned on the counter attack from a better squad.

All in all though it was a gutsy match from both teams. Tactical and spirited.

Tactically Modena's play was really not bad, but you could hardly call their performance football. And their shows to the end with these injuries and dives were just pathetic.
