Does anyone have the iAudio 7? Vlatko? Jack? I need advice.

If not Cowon I'm considering going back to iRiver.

the hold slider is messed up. doesn't slide as easily as before, had it since july

I have the i7(8GB) about a year now. Works flawless. The baterry life is simply unbelieveable, they say it last over 50h but I'd swear it last even longer. The "touch" buttons feel clumsy at first but are actually very practical when you get used to it.

What do you say to this passage?

On the other hand, I cannot see using this player walking down the street or at the gym. The two handed control set, unintuitive interface, and finicky touch interface just doesn’t lend itself well to everyday use.

Well I'd disagree, than again, I prefer things done simply. Perhaps other players have some crazy functions and options, which I don't need and the person who wrote that review does. I'm person that doesn't even ever use playlists. The user interface is fantastic IMO, simple folder/file structure and I wouldn't have it any other way. The touch buttons are, like I said, really good, just take some time getting used to.

I walk down the street with it everyday and I think the gym remark is idiotic. When I go to the gym I press play on it and leave it be, any freaking player can do that. I certainly don't play around the functions while working out.

I have the iAudio 7 (8GB), Martin. That's one hell of a device, works flawlessly, reads all kinds of formats, battery life is simply amazing, in every meaning of the word it is a portable music device. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's earphones suck but I guess all default earphones suck.

True, default headphones on pretty much every device, are the quality of those you can in a cereal box as a present. That's why I bought miself Westone UM1 to go along with my i7.
