havent seen too much of this guy but there is a lot of hype surrounding him. I hope he lives up to the name of 'the next gattuso'. We could do with a destroyer in our team i just hope he succeeds.

E’ facile trovarsi a proprio agio”.

A me piace soprattutto De Rossi.

Nocerino: “I want to become a flagship player”

We must surely count Antonio Nocerino among the positives of Juventus' pre-season period. The young Naples-born midfielder has fitted easily into the group and has been favourably judged in every game he's played. His performances have surprised many people, but not those who saw him grow up in the club's youth sector, before he left to gather experience all around Italy, from Avellino to Crotone, from Genoa to Catanzaro, from Messina to Piacenza.

Now he's back at base, and with a starring role. “It was important for me to return to Juventus – Nocerino declared during a press conference -. I was keen to come back here through the front door. I'm in the environment I grew up in, and it helps to be part of a team made up of great champions. It's easy to feel comfortable here”.

Claudio Ranieri wanted him and the boy is repaying him; he's ready to play his part for the black and white cause: “I try to be committed, to give all I can and create problems of choice for the Manager. I'm at his disposal, I'm young and I have to learn from the champions, but my desire is to have the same chances as everyone else and eventually become a flagship player for this club. The compliments I received in the last few weeks have been nice, but they're not going to my head because I know how easy it is to fall from grace. I don't forget where I come from and that nobody has ever given me anything for free”.

Thanks to the way he played and his determination, in these first matches Nocerino has been compared to a great player, Gennaro Gattuso. However Antonio models himself on another important player: “Some people have noticed a physical resemblance to Gattuso; we're talking about a World Champion here, I still have a long way to go to reach his level. The player I like the most is De Rossi. He goes forward, he defends - he's one of the most complete players around. I hope I can get his shirt after the match tomorrow”.

Finally, he turned his attention to the team; Juventus are growing and they’ll seek positive feedback in the next matches before the start of the League: “I respect all our opponents, but my attention is only on Juve. We know what we can give and we'll show it on the pitch. We have the best goalkeeper in the world, we have a Golden Ball winner, a few World Champions; we have all it takes”.
