I completely respect Conte on domestic campaigns. But internationally, I've been grossly disappointed.

But where we are as a club has fallen so badly, that's a massive improvement for where we are today.

But the front office of this club will kill any success before Conte could. That needs fixing most.
this, 100%

presidente platini, chiellini as his vice, a competent ds (can't suggest too many names, mixed feelings about tognozzi rumors as he was fired from his similar job @ granada; was a very good scout though) and conte would be pretty strong start for a rebuild. i said the same before allegri's return, and i still think the same: a new coach alone won't change too much. as you pointed out, the change must start from the management

And I’m also sick of this comment, which we’ve heard non-stop since we stopped winning Scudetti:

“Fourth place is our main objective, winning the Scudetto is a dream”

BASTAAAA
conte will probably say the same in front of the press. considering yourself the favorites only puts pressure on yourself. posing as the underdog is an obvious communication technique and should be used until we are the obvious favorites once again

and it won't happen overnight. it's going to be inda's title to lose once again, and everyone should put pressure on them by stating that

conte will tell very different things in the locker though

This is what we need. Not some clown saying 'he's proud and satisfied to finish behind Inda'

I’d love to see him coach a club for a long time. Why is he able to grind out results with consistency over and over again with poor squads to win leagues as an Underdog but somehow doesn’t do that in the CL.

He won an FA cup and reached a Europa final. Why can’t he replicate that in the CL?
I have a simple answer to this. You need skill and tactics to excel in Europe where the margins are very fine.

You need defense and grinta to win league titles. Conte excels in the latter but fails often in the former.

His teams are very workmanlike, built with solid foundations and a strong spine but thats where it ends for him. You need more than that to win in Europe.

I don’t know if conte will word it exactly like that tho. He will probably be like “we came from 4th/5th etc, and it’s not an easy job to bring this team back to the top where it belongs”. Nothing wrong with a coach saying that. I’m talking about the likes of Junktoli and Winnie the Pooh/Scanavino coming out and talking their loser shit and setting expectations low for the fans again.

and luck. you can't rely on luck, but you need it. everyone remembers nedved's yellow in 2002 before the end of la partita perfetta, or mijatovic's goal that was or was not offside, or the foul on pogba by dani alves in berlin - episodes that might make or break a complete campaign

cl is a lottery. i fucking hate the nature of it to be honest

Gep says on a stream last night that there could be some big changes before the Club World Cup.

I'd actually prefer Tudor to take the team there so Conte can take some time to recharge.

Let him work on transfer targets with whoever the Sporting Director is then come in fresh.

All assuming that he will be our new coach of course.

Tuzzers believing we're too small a club to be a realistic destination for Osimhen and yet we're the #1 choice for Antonio Conte, the greatest coach in the world.
That's a poor interpretation right there. People believing Osimhen is not a realistic choice has more to do with finances than appeal.

With Conte, there is a history with him. He's a legend of the club who has expressed interest to return to Juve multiple times. It is but obvious that he'd be willing to return if we call him.

The bold part up top: you sure you got the two the right way around? Tony is all about the Benjamins and we don't have any.

Conte has a legendary past with the club but let's be real: even if you'd love to come him here he's pissed all over it in the last decade.

Think of Conte as a toxic ex who you have now resigned to spending a few years with because you are broke and can’t find anyone better. There’s no ring at the end of it, but maybe you get some good sex out of it. He’s going to complain you are broke and leave you soon anyways even though he’ll promise you three years at the beginning.

I appreciate your sense of humour.
Let's assume he doesn't come and all were rumor, who would you appoint as the new coach? The other names being mentioned in media are crap and below average. Conte is the best option compared to those nightmare names.

Some good sex is ok, I would not think of ring. Actually this time Id kick him out before 3rd year. For now Id bring him back as he is a guarantee of turning things around quickly. Napoli went from 10th to 1st place in a year. Except for Allegri, which is not going to happen, I cant seem to think of anyone better for the job.

Comes back, builds a team of hard working affordable players, probably wins the Scudetto within 2 years then fucks off for free.

Sounds like an absolute win to me.

Or maybe just maybe he sticks around and figures out how to manage in Europe too with us. But neither Juve nor Conte seem to be able to figure that out.

balls, confidence and a certain amount of arrogance are definitely required for europe. even though both failed to survive the group stage, conte's inda looked better in the cl than conte's juve (in his 3rd year). let's hope he improved

I mean I don't think he's guaranteed to flop in the CL forever, it's not that deep. 1 good campaign will make his last ones irrelevant.

But, the way he grinds out the league with the same XI whenever possible doesn't set him up well in Europe.
