Though the two guys they got last summer are not bad considering their style of play. Udogie and Van something. The goal keeper looks good too.
Still lots of room for improvement before they can come close to Liverpool let alone Arsenal and City level. I doubt they’re seriously targeting this at all. The club is content with top 4
It doesn’t look like they’ll catch Villa either. But here’s the difference between Ange and Conte.
Ange is managing expectations and the media really well despite being behind Villa. Fans are satisfied and patient.
Conte got top 4 and was sacked while they were still 4th, but his fan and media management was so horrendous, he imploded.
He's his own worst enemy. He’s not calm under pressure he gets combative and frustrated. Not suitable for long term leadership he’s only good for short stints.
Dont forget he imploded with frustration off the back of 3 consecutive league titles with us, and an EPL + FA cup title with Chelsea, and a league title with Inter. He implodes even when it’s going relatively well
I don’t know if he can ever have a long tenure with multiple player cycles like Pep, Klopp Fergie, Wenger etc.. doesn’t have the temperament
