Conte: 'Inter need to start selling'

By Football Italia staff

Antonio Conte was clearly irritable in his Press conference when complaining Inter “are behind schedule and need to get a move on” with transfers.
The Coach spoke at a Press conference ahead of tomorrow’s International Champions Cup game against Manchester United and did not disguise his consternation.
“There’s no point denying the fact we’re having difficulties. There is still a pretty big problem in players coming in and going out, but primarily those who are meant to leave.
“If you ask me to be honest, I’ll say we are quite a lot behind schedule in various areas. We need to get a move on. We’ve been very clear in preparing a plan for players coming in and going out, but we’re behind schedule, particularly because nobody has really left at all.
“We’ve got to speed things up a lot now and realise there’s much to do in something of an uphill struggle.”
The tactician was clearly pointing to Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan, who have been told in no uncertain terms they are not part of his plans, yet seem no closer to an exit.
Without selling either of these two big names, Inter cannot fund the purchase of Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United or Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

how about selling Icardi to Juve for 40m? That solved half of the team problems.

 loving how marotta proved that he really reached his limit at Juve with his failures at inda. Team Paratici ftw!
Marotta, with some flaws, did really deliver. It might be an impopular opinion, but he was by far the best DS on a budget for atleast five years. Barzagli - 300K, Vidal - 15M, Tevez - 10M, Pirlo and Pogba on a free.. those are historical deals man. Not to forget Pazzini - Cassano in his Sampdoria teams.

I think he’ll deliver if he gets time

You have to ask yourself how many of them were Paratici finds, Vidal was certainly one of them as Marotta wanted Inler but only went for Vidal instead because Conte preferred him

We could never know that mate, we’re not board members and know nothing about what happened there... but Marotta really assembled a historical team on a budget during 2011-2014

 We had limited resources back then, despite us here craving for WC players and playing with random figures around. Many players turned us down, because Juventus didnt look any better than Milan today for instance, once a great club but wtf knows how long will it take to return some of its former glory and WC players wont be cherishing the prospect of plying their trade in prime of their careers at a struggling club. Marotta, Conte, Paratici, Agnelli & Nedved started our cycle and this is what we know. People shouldnt focus on details, dissecting every possible move, because we know very little if any, as to who played major role. Only look at where we are now, signing fucking Ronaldo and MDL and feel at least modicum of gratitude and respect.
