Go on, explain it then.
In short, Conte as a manager was relatively unknown and most fans weren't satisfied with his appointment. It's not unreasonable to assume that most would have preferred Mazzarri, who was having moderate success with Napoli or then NT coach Prandelli, who before had successfully coached Viola. Allegri is also one of the names, or Guidolin, maybe even Donadoni that fans would have picked ahead of Conte. At least 7-8 Serie A coaches people would pick ahead of him and more than a few foreign ones. That poll is also very indicative where people stood with his appointment.

It is unreasonable. Conte was a Juventus legend. Mazzarri was just another coach who had a couple of decent but unspectacular results. The ultras pushed for Conte hard, some of the reason why he became coach. Guildolin  Donadoni  Allegri was coaching the previous scudetto winners. He couldn't even be considered.

This is true. Juve was his once in a life time opportunity. Kinda like Izaghi with Milan. No club of such status (even if they have been struggling for a while) would hire them with that empty CV except for clubs where they were ex-players and have good credit with the fans. Inzaghi blew his chance. Conte did magnificently with it.

Inzaghi didn't coach anything before, just primavera. Conte was coaching actual teams for 4-5 years before.

Mazzarri managed to get Napoli to 3rd place season before and was more experienced Serie A manager. Are you really suggesting that fans would have preferred Conte, whose only success till that date were two Serie B promotions? That's unreasonable.

Same goes for Guidolin.

The point is he wouldn't have been the first choice by most fans, whether they'd opt for Guidolin, Mazzarri, Donadoni, Allegri, Prandelli is another matter, but Conte clearly was percieved as another bad move.

Conte was also ex-captain. It's a bit like comparing if our coach next season would be Del Piero if he had Conte's coaching record before Juve or Sarri.

Yeah I am not disputing that. He should have waited for a better milan team and THEN use his one time card. It was also too confident of him to take the job when he had no prior experience. At least Conte had experienced coaching at a lower level even if it was for a short time and at a substantially lower level. Pep took his chance at Barca too. Lucky bastard got to coach the best squad on earth with as little coaching experience as Pippo did. I always found it mysterious why Barca opts for unusual coaches with bad or little track record. Pep had none. Tito had none. Tata doesnt have a good resume. Enrique doesnt have a good resume. And this is a club that any top coach has wet dreams of coaching them. They don't even have the crazy Madrid management and fan pressure not to mention the opportunity of having Messi in your team.
