Well said. But who will be man enough to tell him that at Juve?
Theres just one man who can and have to handle the situation. And is Agnelli. Those 2 need to seriously sit down and clear this shid in the coming days.

It seems like exor are taking a slice out of our profits. Something that moggi and co didnt allow back in the day
I think it is not about allowing, but about having to. We are in debt with them AFAIK.

I think that after breaking several records during three seasons, and taking the team from 7th to the most dominant team in Italy gives Conte the right to voice his opinion. I agree with most here that Conte has really got it wrong in cup competitions and has made some very questionable decisions. But I also think in many cases, we are extremely unlucky and even teams that spend over a billion euros can fail to make it to the CL final in 10 years. The Champions League is a competition where to really judge a team, you need to look at their results over several years. 2 is really not enough due to variance.

I'm not going to judge Conte's Cl runs because there haven't been enough of them. One of the main things I hate about football experts, fans, and really, anyone involved in the game is how quick they are to make judgements.

Coaches get fired after having a bad year. Sometimes, even less. It's ridiculous. All I can say about this Juve is that we're a very tough side to beat and we have the quality to go far in any competition. However, all we're missing is some more flair in attack. We can still be too slow going forward and at times very predictable. If you take away pogba and pirlo from this team, you'll see how little imagination we have.

I get why Conte is complaining, we are a very good team but does anyone think this team can go all the way to the final? We need to make a big leap forward and this is the right time. We've dominated Italy, and now, to compete in Europe we need to sign the Hazards and Costas of the world, not the Osvaldos and Cercis. We need to take risks to do that, and I would be so disappointed if at the end of the summer, we don't sign a huge name that make a difference. I'm not complaining by the way, I'm so thrilled to see Juve dominate Serie A lije this, but I want to see that CL trophy in Turin, and it ain't comin for cheap.

Every site, every newspapers is filled with 'who will replace Conte'.

Same names like in the past couple of days.

GdS says that we're chasing Montella (nothing new) but apparently he has a 6mln release clause in his contract. Spalletti and others are also being mentioned.

Conte has been very good for us and he got us to taste trophies again, so I've got nothing but respect for him.

What I don't like about him is that he talks as if he's reached his peak with this team and we can't go even better, and that's a lie. That could be because he chokes in Cup competitions, not because of the team. FFS, he's demanding the management to have an objective of going past the Group Stages of the CL. Apart from this, he always moans about the lack of finances in Serie A. That is mostly his fault i.e. Marotta said we lost €25M against Galatasaray. When he says there are no more challenges with this team for him, that's a lie. There are big challenges for him in this team, mainly in Europe. He has the team to go far, yet he keeps choking, and instead of admitting his own faults, he keeps finding excuses on this and that. If he wants to go, he'll be missed, but no one is forcing him to stay. This "Conte demands this and that to stay" is a fucking joke. To me he sounds like he wants a new challenge, rather than he needs one.
    Spot on.

I am a huge Conte fan, but this drama he creates at the end of every season is beyond irritating, and very disrespectful to his players, the fans and also the board. If he thinks that he can't improve as a manager with this team, and that Agnelli/Marotta etc aren't ambitious and don't want us to succeed in Europe, well then, maybe it is best he leaves and then sees how unforgiving some other top clubs in Europe are when it comes to failing in Europe.

I agree with you... but i think no one on their sane mind would ask conte to go gung ho smashing everyone in the CL and getting the trophy home. Thats madness, its fantasy. Lets be real. The CL is a prize that a few teams have the honor of winning. You not only need money and good players, but even luck sometimes.

But theres the thing... its also very true that you have to chase your own luck, and i feel that we are not tryng to do this in our games. IM talking about how we present ourselves and how we play. Is nto about getting to semis or QF.. is about how we play what really irks me. I dont mind even going out in the group stages...as long as we get out like Napoli did this season... fighting till the very last moment and doing anything humanly possible to get to the enxt phase... but still was not enought. Their tears were the tears of players who knew that destiny fuked them up, but it was nto their fault.

We on the other hand...... embarrasing.

One thing I don't get, why is he making it look like it's impossible to improve or at least make the semi's in CL? Like Chelsea and Atletico's squad are far way more superior than Conte's squad?

I understand he wants few more players to believe he can go really far in Europe but at the same time he's got a better squad and player than several other top teams who are doing better than him in Europe.

He wants more players but he barely rotates anyway.

And it will be a huge reality check.

Or: He barely rotates because our current players are shite.... he was rotating when he subbed in De Ceglie and such... a player we sent away to Genoa because he is utter shit..

If we buy better players this summer he might rotate more often (if he stays that is.. )

I get this, but why did we bring the likes of Peluso, Padoin or Ogbonna. The first 2 were brought after Conte's instructions iirc and yet he rarely uses them. They're shite, but hasn't he known that before? Someone said that it's better if Conte gets more to say regarding transfers, but I cannot agree with that. We've seen players like Borrielo, or Osvaldo that also were acquired after Conte's request, and once again they were utter crap. Everyone seems to knew that and it irked quite a few when Borigoal would get a chance ahead of Matri or Quag, but still Conte saw something in him and I'm sure if it went his way we'd have Boriello right now. Same goes for Osvaldo, there are strong rumors that Conte wants to make his move permanent. IMHO he should tell Marotta specifications, what kind of player for his system he'd like and Great man will deliver, like always.

Simple... they were getting older, were cheap, low wages and we needed more players... we were lucky this season with injuries... i remember we fielded an 18 year old Sorensen because of all the injuries we had in that season... now we could field a player with serie A experience if we had an injury or two on that part of the pitch...

Peluso and Padoin>> primavera i think.... because they know how it is to play in the Serie A and so on...

Both peluso and Padoin were signed for rotation, they are decent experienced serie a players, whenever our leaders are tired, especially after European midweeks, you should use padoins instead of them, while conte has changed his mind and forgot the "rotation" word in this season, I still don't get it - what he point to use almost the same line up against Benfica, then against sassuolo in 4 days and then again against Benfica and it's a mistake but conte doesn't want to apologize for his mistakes, he does want to blame anyone but him

Somewhat agree, but he still should have used these guy more often, at least against minnows. Padoin and Peluso had 1500 minutes to share between themselves, too few imho, less than 10 games for each.

GdS and La Stampa believe that there's a minimum chance of Conte staying. Next Thursday there will be a decisive meeting. Agnelli wants Klopp as replacement. Emery and Montella another possibilities.

Do you remember how we lost to Gala? It gives the phrase 'Truth is stranger than fiction' a whole new meaning. Against Copen, we should have won, but I don't blame Conte. I only will blame the coach when our tactics or choice of players were very off. I don't recall too many of those and if anyone does, remember that in retrospect everything is easy. In the last two years, and many people hate to admit it, we lost in the CL mainly because our players couldn't step to the plate.

We have great players now but let's be honest, the quality of football in Serie A is very poor. Yes, we have 99 points and it's truly amazing, but the deteriorating quality of the league unfortunately takes away a bit of value from our amazing achievement.

Personally, I'm glad Conte is acting like a prick. We need someone to overlook our domestic achievements and compare us to Elite European Standard. I don't care if we're so much better than Milan and Inter. I don't even care if we're better than both teams combined, I want us to better than the very best. Better than Barca, Bayern, Real etc... And a lot of people should realize by now that there's a pretty fucking good correlation Between spending money and being successful.

What irritates me is that we're so close to being the best. We really are. I see how some mega rich clubs are managed and how they have no identity, core, project and they still get results just because they can afford to throw money around.

It makes me wonder how great we can be if we dug deep into our pockets and put some faith in ourselves to make it happen.

You guys talk about how Marotta provides only what Conte but here's how i picture the situation :
Conte : Beppe, give me a Lb, one who can defend and cross well.
:beppe: : Boss,we have already spent most of our budged on other additions so i am not sure i can give you a quality addition.
Conte : Sigh.Ok,then the least u can do is get me players im familiar with.Get me Peluso from Atalanta. That shud be 'cheap' i guess.
:beppe: : That shudnt be a problem at all boss.Im experd at signing mediocre italiens afterall.
Thanks for making my job easier boss :beppe:

Lippi "Conte is right when he's saying that it's difficult to reach at Real, Bayern and Barca with a budget that is very different.Conte regenerated Juventus, I would like to see him on the Juve's bench for the next 10 or 15 years." - SkySport
