Jesus, we failed to score in 100 minutes of play, Clattenburg even added 2 minutes to the 1st half, so it's 10+ minutes overall, stop crying, we lost not because referee, we lost because of poor tactic and exhausted team, because you should rotate if you want to have succed in the cup tournaments, ask Benitez, Mourinho, Ferguson and so on
On the scoreboard, but what zizinho is saying is that play was dead and restarted at 92, so therefore there are only 6 minutes added on. In reality maybe there should have been a couple of minutes more, but the game had descended into nothing at that point anyway.
yeah this. 6 minutes added, which included 3 minutes on all 6 subs, and you get only 3 minutes of added time the Benfica players wasted in the second half, which we all know was much, much more...
Ferguson always pointed out how he targeted scoring goals to make sure United's goal difference was better than the others, to gain an extra 'point'. Something which would be useless in Serie A.
'Consistently bad' is subjective, basically rubbish in my opinion, but more importantly you don't get any more points for playing nice football so it's of no interest to me.
by consistently bad I mean all those struggling to grind results against -by now it truly apparent- ultra weak serie a minnows, easily pressed and become clueless against any decent oppositions for almost 2 seasons already despite the end statistics...
Nobody is saying that juve lost because of the ref. Not even Conte. But clattenburgs decision making was awful for the most part. He was not fit to officiate a match of such importance

I think the ref had a decent game. He was brave to send off a player with 2 yellow cards in the space of 8 minutes. Most referee would give a warning for the second offense in a game of this magnitude whereby a decision like sending off a player could turn the tie favorably. He gave us enough stoppage time as well the play was resumed at 91.30 ended at 98 minute.

going against 9 men, an extra 3-4 minutes atleast (which should have been given) could be crucial. im not denying we failed to score when we had the chances, we should have scored much earlier, but it had to be more minutes added for sure...
I'm not crying. i agree about the poor tactic i hated the 3-5-2 since he started using it. but the time wasting by the ref played some part on slowing the game. every time they burst into attacking the ref stopping the game and kill everything off

Its not so much of time wasting which is also important , the ball in play was only for 49 mins , usually its 60-65 mins thats why conte said we felt cheated , but its also because every time a benfica player went down it just killed our flow , they were doing it to disrupt our momentum of play .
If he had played on a few times the diving would have stopped , but he was stopping play for everything thus falling into benfica's trap of making the game stop n slow .

It was typical match by the Clattenburg, how many times you've watched him in EPL , jeez He had 100000 worse games there, sometimes making afwul mistake, but in the international games he is almost always decent

You should differentiate 'struggled' from 'don't play how I would like them to'.
180 points out of 219 points doesn't suggest much of a struggle, we play a style and approach that wins the game without going all out. You want us to go all out, and have admitted before that you would put performances ahead of results...
