You guys all act like the scudetto is guaranteed each year... Right... We've won about a third of the scudettos possible to win. 1 in 3. We're not going to win it every year for the next 10 years. It just won't happen.
Obviously. IM not from the group who is counting scudetto as a failure so dont count me on that bunch.
We need to be prepared because more sooner than later , we will lose the scudetto. Thats life and it WILL be like that, so we will be one whole season (or seasons) wanting to get it back. Thats how the cicle goes and it will never stop. so ill say it again. SCUDETTO IS A SUCCESS theres no 2 ways about it. OK?.

Everyone wants to do well in the CL also as Juve fans. Just because we value the scudetto highly doesn't mean we ignore the CL . I'd like to think minimum QF every year with that once every 5-10 year hiccup where we get bounced in the group unluckily, like this year. And we were unlucky. We dominated all 3 of our draws and allowed a couple random defensive lapses and poor luck finishing to set us up for getting knocked out in a game that should not have been played.
We were "a little" un lucky in some games. But no il not blame luck for our exit. It was our own fault in the end and no one else.

However, you suggest that it is a case of "continue getting embarrassed in Europe"... Continue? We got knocked out at group once, this year. In our first year back in the comp we made QFs and got knocked out by the champion who we played far closer than Barca did, and we were a side with not a single decent striker.
Making till bayern and smashmng a poor chelsea made our run look a little better than it was. Before i didnt think about that this way.. but now i do.

This year we got embarrassed a little and are now making up for it in the EL. I'm sorry but, this isn't some case of continued European failure for Conte. It is 1 bloody season. 1! Get some perspective. Every big side has the occasional $#@!ty season in the UCL.
Bar our Chelsea heroics in stamford bridge and the madrid games, i have been not impressed to be sincere. But like someone said days ago, it will eb almost impossible to replicate the amount of failure of this CL season.... so we can rest assured that we will do much much better in our next CL campaign.

Stop acting like Conte is poor in Europe. He isn't.
uhhhh the pandoras box!!!!! do not unlock it. I have my serious doubts about Conte as an strategist.. but not as a psychologist.
We have seen our fair share of Conte's weird approaches and subs in crunch moments , so saying abritrarily "He is not poor in Europe", is being biased. But again, lets leave it at that because time will tell. We dont need to discuss things we will never agree.

The club agrees with me, and doesn't give a damn about your whining.
lol the club doesnt even know you exists. Stop ur elitist shid.
And they better start giving a damn about my whinning , not because they "shoudl agree with me", but because is a fair one. Everyone needs to up their game and start giving a fuck in early CL games...starting from Conte. Also, you need to take in consideration that POGba and Vidal will not wait forever till we decide to show some respect to the CL. In fact, we can lose those 2 faster than we can think of and end being a not so awesome team again

If you don't think a scudetto is a successful season, then (regardless of intention) you are being disrespectful of Juventus FC and it's history and values. Scudetto = successful season. CL success beyond that is a bonus, and an even more successful season. Of course we should desire CL success, but blowing off a record breaking scudetto season because we had a poor CL campaign is pathetic.
If we happen to win Europa League, I will call it a successful season.

Saying that a Scudetto in today's Serie A is an amazing accomplishment is disrespectful to those Juventus legends who won the Scudetto when the league was solid.

Fair play on this post. You have some good points. I know I quoted your post, but it's more so the mini-army on this forum that bashes Conte and this side each match-day. It makes it unpleasant to be here at times. Frustrating.

There are a couple points to make. If you are going to discredit the "luck" factor in terms of our unluckiness in how we exited this year with dominant performances against Copenhagen away (we outshot 27-11) and Gala at home (we outshot 26-7), that we drew due to a lack of luck with finishing our chances, then you absolutely cannot say we were lucky to go to the QFs last year and discredit our success with that statement. You can't ignore luck when it doesn't support your argument for our poor form this year in the CL, and then use it the very next statement you make to discredit our good run in the CL last year. So either we were lucky last year, and unlucky this year... Or we were poor this year, and quite good last year in Europe. Regardless of what you think, our 2-2 draw away to Chelsea, our 3-0 away to Celtic, our 1-0 away to Shaktar, our 3-0 home to Chelsea. Those were all brilliant results, and Conte showed much tactical acumen in them.

I agree with you in the sense that blaming luck for our exit this year, is just offering a crutch that shouldn't be needed. We were poor in the CL, shid happens. The year before we were good, claiming we were lucky is equally ridiculous.

Cheers on the scudetto statement. I'm tired of people claiming scudettos aren't a success, and that our scudetto isn't as valuable as past scudettos because the league is supposed to be terrible. I'd argue that the league has been quite good this year, aside from the Milan teams being in rough shape. Napoli and Roma would both be top 4 in any league in Europe imo, besides perhaps the EPL, it's hard to say with that league, and the chaos that goes on there. The league isn't what it could be, but it's not so terrible as some make it out to be.

And I'd be totally ecstatic if we were to win EL this year. I'd be totally psyched if we went to the SFs of CL next year. When I say a bonus, it doesn't mean that I think it's wrong to expect us to go far in Europe, nor to be disappointed when we fail to progress, nor do I mean it as some like wow, we went far in Europe what an unexpected bonus. It's like a bonus you hope you're getting, you're expecting, and when it happens, amazing, but if it doesn't, it's not the end of the world. That kind of thing. And it really isn't the end of the world that we failed in the CL this year, after a success last year. Conte is still relatively inexperienced in Europe and I'm sure he'll improve next year, as will our players and our side.

I think that is the biggest factor in it all as well. Look at the managers at the best teams in Europe, they all are experienced compared to Conte. Look at our failures in Europe then look at United for example who was at the helm of a somewhat sub average manager.

And let's not forget Conte has demanded upgrades in certain areas and hasn't received the personnel he requires to execute what he truly wants.

We effectively took it up to the likes of Real who only this morning (Aus time) have edged their way closer to making a CL final. I really believe we played better for most of the two legs and yet they are close to a CL final and we are close to a EL final.

I hope we play whatever formation secures us the titles. The third scudetto and an EL trophy would be great. People here have been spoiled since Conte took over, apparebtly winnibg isn't enough, you need to play a certain way to get the appreciation of these "fans".
I agree! How quickly people forget the nightmare we went through. I love conte and the current team. Praying he stays for a long time to come and does not get poached by another club.

I can still remember the days where i would give my left nut for a supercoppa... now we don't even remember we actually won it 4-0 :touched:

I would dream of the scudetto like it was world peace... now we are on 90 points :touched:

Conte made an insane amount of progression.. but people fear we are becoming like what Anderlecht or Lyon were... good in the league but shit in the CL....

chill the hell out guys... Conte got this... next season we'll get to the semi's

Seeing the early links to players like Sanchez and Nani, seems to suggest that Conte has clear ideas about how he wants the team to shape up, with Euorpean competition in mind next season. I would go to the extent of saying that to be fair to him, he probably didn't have the personnel to execute his plans in Europe his past season, especially in Pepe's absence. For me, Conte has exceeded expectations as a coach and leader of the team, and a scudetto (hattrick, mind you) and EL SF exit or title, is also a successful season for me. That's not to say that this is the ceiling of the team.

As a result, I believe Conte has earned his stripes and should not face undue criticism that questions his ability or competency in Europe. Not until we see him get another campaign, start to finish. It's clear to me, that the first phase of the team under him has completed its task of becoming a force again domestically. And like most fans here, Conte has greater ambition, and definitely has CL in his sights. We need to be fair on that front and give him time to see what he can do when given a team exactly the way he wants it to be. Its clear as day to me that personnel like Nani/Sanchez are Conte type players, and I'd they come, we should see how the team shapes up in Europe playing with Conte's optimal vision, before deciding his future as our coach. Anyone else who thinks otherwise is just plain shortsighted, spoilt and doesn't deserve the sense of entitlement that they have come to expect, supporting this team under Conte.

Conte's favourite formation was a 4-2-4 and it still probably is, he's playing a 3-5-2 out of necessity. It's not like Marotta gave Conte 200m to spend and he still decided to play a 352.

This EL campaign will do wonders for him in Europe, and only us will benefit from it next season.
