apparently conte had alot of faith in Peluso, that he'd do better then caceres, or marrone(bonucci to lcb, marrone sw)

Peluso, kinda let him down, some bad defending there from his regard.

Conte made good changes, we were getting trough on flanks, and right behind the defensive wall, there was some space, so giac to the side, and giovinco more the middle/ss was also good imo. marchisio-pirlo enough to bolster the central.

however

marchisio was limping, medical staff should have gotten him off the pitch
Vucinic playing ?? again, medical staff taking risks declaring him fit enough to sub in

Not sure what conte did wrong today

He took a gamble in putting peluso on, but looking at samp's position, i'd say it wasent a big gamble.

However, peluso let us down, those goals... no words
that's right, it was kinda disappointing to see Peluso mark this 19 yrs old kid that way.. I mean, a 28 yrs old Serie A left back, should know when you mark someone, who has his right leg way better (which was probably studied in the pre-games tactical training), that he must block that leg and should have let no space for him to shoot with the right.. It was childish mistake, i still hope he will get better, it was his debut afterall

I know :flag4:

he put more faith into a guy that had 2 days of training witht he team over litch, caceres, marrone, and vidal. all who can play cb and have been with the team for a while. not only is it stupid, it's also disrespectful to the hard work those players put in.

he also out faith into a lb that is used to working in a 4 man defense, to perform as a cb in a 3 man defense.

Licht is suspended, Vidal was rested for the Milan game and Marrone never played as left back.. Only caceres would have been an option, but he didn't play on the left for a while..

marrone slots as sweeper and barzagli as LCB. cceres would swap positions with barzagli and barzalgi would hit the left spot.. vidal rested for milan game. yeah because it's not like he had 2 weeks of rest or anything like that.

This is a match the boss will learn from surely. forza conte.
good luck with that. did you not learn anything from boriello last season.

we are stuck with peluso until cheillini gets fit

I think you misunderstood.. he avoided to play vidal, cause we have another game in 3 days, and knowing how much energy spends on the games like the Milan's one, is good to keep him 100% fresh for that clash...

As great as Conte is, he's not the brightest coach when it comes to lineups and subs.

And this is not something I say because we lost one match, it just happens regularly.

still, tactically he's good... See for example the Shakhtar zonal marking for Willian or the chance taking when we played with Chelsea home, when half of our attacks were in Azpilicueta's wing, seeing his weakness, and that was a key battle on the field.. I wouldn't blame him too much about selection, subs since it worked sometimes (Matri, Vuci entrance with Cagliari is the last example, or Quagli vs Chelsea on Stamford, giovinco at shakhtar... Those times it worked) .. I understand the frustration of losing a Sampdoria game home, but it seems that our boys partied too much in holiday
