Agreed. He always puts all this unnecessary pressure on himself. And this Conte-Allegri debate is pretty futile at the moment. You're delusional if you're a Milan fan and you think Allegri has proven his top quality manager status, and you are equally delusional if you're a Juve fan and you think Conte is a top quality manager. Both haven't been tested enough, both have massive flaws on and off the pitch, and both of them have the best two teams in the league. That being said, both of them are showing signs of being great managers.
Some are saying Conte is better than Allegri because for half of the season Conte was ahead of Allegri with a squad half as good as his. That's retarded. A) Milan had a huge amount of injuries which meant that the formation they were playing with week-in and week-out wasn't that much better than ours, and B) they're ahead of us now aren't they? I'd rather be second place up until the last week, and come first at the end of the season, because that's all that counts in the end.
Also if you say that Allegri has the best team in Italy - and he does - and you're going to take that into account when you judge him, then you must also consider that Conte has the second best team in Italy. By the logic which your using to judge Allegri, this means that Conte HAS to get at least second place, or he didn't let the team live up to it's potential. Right now, with the current trend, it's very possible that we drop further down the table to teams like Lazio, Udinese, and Napoli - all of those are teams we are better than, all of those are teams we should finish ahead of.
So don't exaggerate what Conte's doing just because he's the first decent manager we've had in years.
