the sport not the dude.

Thing is he's never really had career defining opportunities before Juventus. I've actually followed him from 07 and never really thought him to be an Ibra for instance. But I have seen him to have a fair amount of quality. And just when he moved from Napoli to Juventus, I'd say that would be the best move of his career, even after he leaves - but he showed me at least that he could cut it in a big team, and did it better than I expected. My point in his defense is, that under the current circumstances he's very unluckly not to be playing despite being fit. And more so, it also leads our more fickle fans to judge him without having seen him get any sort of continuity. Hell we are doing it with Alex too. People keep saying he's 200 years old, and he doesn't cut it, but the fact is, he was cutting it last year and the only reason we don't know if he's good enough today us because he's rusty and ageing on the bench if anything. But not to digress, I believe Quag is one of the best strikers in circulation domestically speaking and if he has the opportunity he will impress. But up until that time, we are happy getting rid of him, Alex and thankfully Boriello.
whatever he is Baggy he does not have a role in the 4-3-3, so might as well capitalise whilst he still has a decent value, and he can also not rot on the bench when he is in the 'prime' of his career.

Conte: "Bergonzi is a good referee, but it's odd that he's been assigned. We'll see after the game if it was the best choice."

"We'll assess Chiellini's condition between today and tomorrow, I want to be certain that he's fully recovered"

"Allegri's said that people need to speak less. We've been in silence, while he hasn't"

"We're having an extraordinary championship season. We're unbeaten after 30 games and we mustn't forget that."

"It's a shame that we didn't win in Genova because we created a lot of chances"

"Let's remember that we're developing and building. Our journey began just six and a half months ago."

"Our strikers are rotated just as they should be at a big side. The pitch and the game decide the hierarchy."

"Our draws have been full of chances, we've always dictated the game, had possession and dominated."

"I would be worried if we didn't have shots on goal, create opportunities or propose the play"

I don't know if this has been posted before but, Eugenio Fascetti said that the reason why we don't score is Conte's fault because he asks his strikers to run back and forth a lot.

That's pretty interesting, and possibly true.

Yes. Totally agreed. He should be sold, or better still, deported.
Quagliarela before his knee injury was scoring goals almost every match and good ones too. His injury was really a pity. Conte needs to give him more playing time so he can get back to his level before injury.

I agree that estigarribia and giaccherini have no place in this team. Pepe is a hard working player and although i rated him very low, now i think he can contribute something to the team.

Also Conte should play more with the youngsters, if we want a serious project Juventus has to do what Barcelona did. The primavera team has a lot of potential so instead of bringing borrrielo or padoin, why not promote youngsters from the youth squad?. I believe Conte is a good tactician but he lacks a lot in the emotional stuff towards the players. Seems that he lacks the necessary skills to motivate all players and have a united group. It looks that for conte you are either great player or shit based solely on a first impresion, and what is worse is that he is so stubborn that this impresion wont change for bad or for good.

Juve boss on Milan, refs and Viola
By Football Italia staff

After days of silence, Juventus returned to speaking ways on Friday as boss Antonio Conte talked on the eve of the Fiorentina game.

The Old Lady had imposed a silenzio stampa following the 0-0 draw at Genoa as a protest to the number of refereeing decisions which they claim have gone against them this season.

And Conte, who was banned from the touchline last weekend, thinks more people should refrain from making statements.

“A few days ago I read an interview in which Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri said that we must all keep quiet,” he stated.

“All of us here did just that, but he’s the one who just keeps on talking.

“Seeing as Allegri keeps talking about Juve, we’ll authorise him to do that without the need for him to ask permission from our director general Beppe Marotta...”

Another talking point going into the Viola clash is the decision to appoint Mauro Bergonzi as referee, the man who was fourth official when Conte was sent-off in Bologna-Juventus.

“He’s a good ref, but it is inevitable that this decision is unique. I don’t know if this was the best move, we’ll have to wait until the end of the game.

“We won’t be commenting on the performance of the referee though.”

Turning to his team selections, the Coach confirmed that Leonardo Bonucci and Arturo Vidal would be named in the squad despite an alleged incident at a nightclub last weekend.

However, it is unclear whether Giorgio Chiellini will be risked after he was struck down by a calf problem.

“I still want to evaluate his condition over today and tomorrow,” the tactician noted. “I’ll obviously speak with him a lot, also because the championship won’t end tomorrow.”

Juve’s other problems are in attack where the club’s strikers have contributed just 16 League goals this term.

“We have a lot of central strikers. In a 4-3-3, if we are without Mirko Vucinic and Simone Pepe, then things get difficult. The others don’t adapt too well to the wings.

“It is inevitable that whichever centre-forward I chose, I will be asked why another didn’t play if he doesn’t score…”

Facing the Old Lady tomorrow with be enigmatic striker Amauri, the Brazilian who has a point to prove after leaving Turin in January.

“He knows perfectly well how things went, I know what I said and what I did. Amauri knows that I can look him in the eye.

“It’s the game of the season for Fiorentina tomorrow and that should please us.”

Juve will begin the Florence clash after Milan’s game at Parma has already come to an end. The Rossoneri are currently four points clear of the
