Playing 4-4-2 against Chievo was a pretty bad decision, and one that may well have cost Juve that game.

It's one of very few games I would blame Conte for, though.

The game I watched on ESPN3 showed him quite often with the camera screening up to him in the box.

I am talking about the ability to contribute to the actually game play as in create, go with the flow AND score goals. DP & Quag are technically MUCH better players than Pepe and can obviously add more to the team. I am not talking about Messi or Ronaldo, I am highlighting how "technically" better players contribute more to the team than hard workers. Ibra scores goals for fun and if we gave consistent playing time to the players that deserve to play (not Esit, Boriello or Giach..and again, IMO Pepe) then we might start connecting more and putt more goals in the back of the net.

It's no coincidence that our defense and midfield has come to the rescue more than our strikers. But, as you saw from the FI articel...our top 3 scoring strikers are Quag, Matri and Mirko...why the hell was Conte starting Borriello instead of Matri? Why not put Quag in for Pepe?

He shows more faith in the "lazy Mirko" (which is fine by me) but seems backwards in not allowing Quag consistent playing time on the other side.

If you want Quag to start, then start him over Matri. Not Vucinic, not Pepe.

Almost the same goes for Del Piero, he might be one of our most creative players, but playing him Pepe's position would be ridiculous.

By the sound of it, anyone is an upgrade. Even if we don't buy anyone, I think we should get rid of him. What good is it if he's being judged as average or crap while sitting on the bench? We are happy to judge him despite his lack of opportunity while those playing ahead of him are considered to be good enough despite their apparent failings in front of goal. Matri being an exception.

I think we fans are a fickle bunch. You need to be scoring a hat-trick even when you're on the bench, to be considered good enough to be at this Juventus, which ironically is having an issue in front of goal - thanks largely to the players who have had the maximum game time with no end product.

It's not worth discussing anymore. Honestly, we should sell.

Last season? The season before that? The season before last to last season? Or the recent sitter against Milan? My point is, and has always been, that if guys like Amauri, Iaq and Borriello and even Vucinic have always been given a fair chance to come good, then if there's anybody who deserves that chance, it's Quag. But if he's not destined to get it and be written off, as a result of that, then so be it.

Thing is he's never really had career defining opportunities before Juventus. I've actually followed him from 07 and never really thought him to be an Ibra for instance. But I have seen him to have a fair amount of quality. And just when he moved from Napoli to Juventus, I'd say that would be the best move of his career, even after he leaves - but he showed me at least that he could cut it in a big team, and did it better than I expected. My point in his defense is, that under the current circumstances he's very unluckly not to be playing despite being fit. And more so, it also leads our more fickle fans to judge him without having seen him get any sort of continuity. Hell we are doing it with Alex too. People keep saying he's 200 years old, and he doesn't cut it, but the fact is, he was cutting it last year and the only reason we don't know if he's good enough today us because he's rusty and ageing on the bench if anything. But not to digress, I believe Quag is one of the best strikers in circulation domestically speaking and if he has the opportunity he will impress. But up until that time, we are happy getting rid of him, Alex and thankfully Boriello.
