“Ranieri’s words? He finally says something that continues the discussion. He says that he hopes those who raise their voice don’t influence the referee designators.

“But then, Ranieri is afraid then that there are influences, so I then ask, are they there or not? His answer leaves the door open.”
Good point, Tony.

That's because we should not need penaltys to win a game, we are not Milan nor Inter. Ofcourse we are right to claim one but if our strikers finished theire chances there was no talk about penalties whatsoever.
I'm not even talking about needing penalties to win games.

I'm talking about the stupid rules in Italy where you have to publicly register your displeasure with referees. It is all for show, but yet it is a manner of due process to show you're not getting favorite treatment from referees -- to keep all the conspiracy theorists at bay in your campaign to legitimately win the scudetto.

I agree, but since we are Juve then we probably should have expected the backlash, with all things considered obviously.

sure Conte expected it and its the first time he complained about refs decisions and that's what he get. anyway we need to send them reminder that we are not accepting unfair decisions anymore. the amount of PK's given to others is way much than ours and its not normal.

I wouldn't look too much into the stats. The only major concern would be Milan.

Zeman on 'moaning Juve'
By Football Italia staff

Zdenek Zeman has waded into the controversy between Juventus and referees, insisting “the only penalty was for the foul on Sebastian Giovinco.”

Antonio Conte and his men were furious after Wednesday’s 0-0 draw at the Stadio Tardini and claimed there were two spot-kicks not awarded in their favour, while Giovinco “had dived” in his incident.

“Conte is moaning, but in my view in that game the only penalty that should’ve been given was for the foul on Giovinco,” said Pescara Coach Zeman.

“I never made distinctions between big and small clubs. It is the media that do that. At least compared to the past we no longer see some teams receiving 20 penalties per season.”

Former Roma and Lazio boss Zeman has for many years been a vocal critic of Juventus.
:howler:

Hopefully Conte responds to this fucknut.

The former Sampdoria and Juventus star posted a remark on social networking site Twitter last week, in relation to how well Zeman’s Pescara side are performing in Serie B.

“Who knows how Zeman would feel if someone began to suspect him about so much energy,” the 47-year-old wrote, prompting the Czech-born Coach’s irritated defence of his players in a Press conference the next day.
