Look Zacheryah, you made Conte cry! WTF!!!

in belgium, we had a coach that you would like very much

arie koster, dutchie, coached club brugges

played retardedly offensive anywere he went, it was nice to watch, they played even prettyer then anderlecht

however, both in the league and in europe, they kept losing points, because lategame goals on counters, because no balance, etc
they went from top to nearly exit in eurocrapleague

then came this german coach who played capello style result football
he saved their ass in the eurocrapleague, and they went from mid table to second close to anderlecht, untill their first defeat this weekend

and that is, why fancy coaches only work in retarded leagues like la liga, and get eaten in a league with actual competition
Not the same thing. We're not playing fancy football. We're playing pressing football. You can play both at the same time but they're not mutually exclusive.

Btw, I don't think the formation was the problem. I loved the formation, it suited most players and was super effective in shutting Udinese the fuck up. The problem was playing Pepedinho as a fucking SS! He was freaking useless and you could tell how many more chances we were creating once Quag and DP came on. I'll probably never understand why Conte loves Pepe so much but playing Quag or DP from the beginning would've won us the game, comfortably, and that's what we're pissed off at. It was two points lost because we were the better team.

Let's face it, for a big team - one who challenges for the Scudetto and a CL place - a draw is just as bad as a loss. We've had 7 so far this season? Way too many and we're not even half way through it yet. OK we have avoided defeat, but I'd honestly prefer if we lost 2 and won 4 o 5 more games instead. We have three winnable games coming up, 9 points is a must, niggaz.

Damn right. Look who was unbeaten by this time in 04/05...(TIP: watch the draws column)

Fucking Del Neri won 4-0 against the mighty Udinese.
Just because Del Neri beat Udinese 4-0 on September the 19th in 2010, doesn't mean that Conte should do the same December 21st 2011!

You're completely in disregard of all the countless trainings, staff level changes etc. that has happened in the meantime. Udinese has definitely grown a lot as a team since then. So have we, but that doesn't automatically mean that we should beat Udinese whenever we play them.

Yesterday was an entirely new context, a completely different game, and whether or not Del Neri beat them over a year ago is utterly and completely irrelevant.

Great today, he was just let down by the quality of our attack. Matri a huge disappointment. The only thing I can blame him for is for putting up with this bad Matri for so long, but this is his philosophy. He sticks with his players and it often works so I can' t blame him.
Completely Conte's fault though. He should know better than playing him up there on his own.

"a draw is just as bad as a loss" is just wrong in pretty much any aspect...
i agree that we´ve had too many draws and some of those were winable but imo we should bitch about the ones against catania, chievo, bologna and genua and not about napoli, roma and udinese...
the team has grown and i´m pretty sure we will see less draws against the smaller teams in the future. as for the other games: 9 points collected from 5 away games against 5 of the 6 toughest opponents in the league are very respectable.
conte wanted to go into the winter break with a posive result and avoid a defeat at all costs. imo he succeded because for me a draw away to udinese is a posive result after they have raped 7 teams in a row at their home turf, beat inter at san siro and drew milan+lazio away from home ;).

the game was definately winable but especially against udinese pushing too hard can always be punished pretty quickly and a loss could have been devastating for the morale of the team (end of the unbeaten run + drop to 3rd place in the table).
if some people want to call conte a coward without balls for that decission... ok with me.. keep embarrassing yourself and cry throughout the winter break because we drew against such an inferior opponent.

2 more things:
- yes we would have played to win those games in 04/05 but keep in mind that every single player in that team was better than his counterpart in our actual team ;)
- please stop saying things like "i would rather have 5 wins and 2 defeats more instead of the draws" over and over again... we can all do the math and everybody agrees ;)

people here think, that you must allways take the risks, and impose everywere.
i used brugge as an example of how that doesnt work

obviously, we wanted a draw from udinese, they play home so its 2 points lost for them.

pepe, its obvious, its to keep the pressure up, and he's pretty good at what conte tasks him with.

but alot of people, tend to think in fancy spainish football, and forget this is italy. drawing hard opponents away is good, winning them at home is equally good.

starting with quag and del piero ? please

both are slow, dont track back, and are very inefficient at putting pressure.

udinese could trow 4 players against vidal and marchisio, resulting us in loosing the midfield, and getting what every other team in udinese got this season
humiliation

with vucinic, it would be a diffrent game.

but seriously, for most of you, if you support an italian team, please get some knowledge of tactics.
"PLAY ALL THE FORWARDS" doesnt work
