Conte: 'Juventus have a soul'
Antonio Conte was “satisfied and pleased” with the 10-man Juventus performance despite their 1-1 home draw with Bologna.
The Bianconeri lost their 100 per cent record in what was expected to be an easy tie against the rock bottom Rossoblu.
“It’s a shame we didn’t get the victory, but I am satisfied and pleased with what the lads showed tonight,” said a very croaky Conte who had lost his voice during the game.
“You can see the team has a soul. We played for 50 minutes with 10 against 11 and conceded from a set play, not allowing any other real chances from Bologna.
“I compliment the players and it’s a pity we dropped two points along the way, but we carry on along our path.”
Mirko Vucinic got the goal, but also two yellow cards for dissent and a pointless tackle in midfield on Archimede Morleo.
“We will analyse the things that went well and those that went badly. It can be unfair to speak in the heat of the moment,” continued Conte.
“After the last two Juventus seasons, we still have to work on self-confidence and that is a lot of the work we have to do here.
“I am happy with the performance of Milos Krasic, but he or any of the players are not in a test situation. I expect everyone to give their best when called upon.”
