The mentality has not changed that much. Our defense won us the game today along with a 5 minutes of good football. We still conceded chances its not as if we shut down Siena like we would have under Capello in these sort of wins. Gray put it perfectly in the match thread. We're getting carried away thinking that we are some rock solid unit because of the style of this victory but there are marked differences between the Juve that used to pull these sort of boring wins on a regular basis under Capello and Lippi and the one we saw today. Todays Juve could have easily conceded and played very scrappy football.
Show me the chances Siena had, because I didn't see any. People are judging the coach and team after two games and even with two victories :sergio:

So far, the major difference between this season and last is that Pirlo helps us retain the ball about 25% more.

Anyway, I hope he actually tries something a little different wednesday.

Winning doesn't absolve him from the fact that he made wrong choices. Yes, we beat Siena away from home in game we would have definitely lost points in last year or the year before that. I'm very happy with the 3 points, because in the end, that's all that matters. However, this season is only just beginning, we have a long way to go. If, for the rest of the season, Conte doesn't utilize our best players, we will not play our best football.

We will lose points when we shouldn't have. It's only a matter of time before we do with Gia and Pepe on the wings. I just hope this formation is temporary.

You can't honestly believe, that Conte will continue fielding this team? As said many times, we have a game on wednesday and this team impressed in the first game. I think, that Vidal and Krasic/Elia (or all three) will start against Bologna.

I have that same exact thought.

well after Bologna and Catania where we should be 4-0 Milan come and after 4 games this is a perfect test. But then we have a massive stretch of games where we will really see what this team is about. Chievo Genoa Fiorentina Inter Napoli. We will see what Contes Juve is really about after those stretch of games. A tough test tonight. If anyone out of the lower table teams were going to play there asses of against us I would of said Parma and Siena to be honest. I didnt think our overall passing and ball control would of been as bad as it was but I fully expected Siena to do absolutely everything so get atleast a draw against their old coach. Im happy we can came away with 3 points already shows Conte has instilled a stronger mentality into that players. Im not happy with his player selection on the wings but who knows that situation and why our most skillful players arnt playing. Most likely unfit and unfamiliar with the system but with that said now with this mid week game I fully expect Elia to play instead of Giach. Thats 2 games now hes been rather ineffective against 2 lower table teams. Grosso didnt do badly. I feel his ball movement is better then PDC but ill be honest I did not see that first half. Stupid alarm didnt go off!!

+1

I notice Roma is doing the opposite. Sticking their dream formation on and riding out the bumps. I'm glad their defense is suspect and that Totti will f*k up the dressing room because if they get into gear... we are stuffed.

Well then its even harder. Either way after our next two is when we will see what we are really about and when Conte really shows his medal against the upper standing teams. Im confident in him of course but I cant help but worry.

I take it you have been on the Juve training field lately?
not really, why? ain't it obvious?

A lot of monday morning coaching by people who aren't in training and see what the coach sees. As of right now were top of Serie A with two straight victories. So far Comte has been vindicated in his decisions. If we were 0-2 and not 2-0 I could see the complaining
i'm not complaining at all..just sharing my thoughts. he has done a very good job with the defence, he revitalised barzagli.
