Don't we need the personnel to do that?
Ranieri did quite a good job with Molinaro, Mellberg and Grygera as fullbacks. We had the second best defense in the league in 07/08 and the third best in 08/09.

Of course we also need better players as well, but organisation is important.

So keep Grygera, bring back Molinaro and ranieri is what you are saying?

Indeed, I believe you are.

:agree:

That's what I was trying to say for ages. Trapattoni, Lippi, Ancelotti and Capello were all nobodies once upon a time.
its not about being a nobody or not, its about the resources made available to them, i highly doubt capello, mourinho or any other top manager would have achieved anything with this current side, prob 6 place at best, certainly by no means a team competing for a CL spot. I have every faith in any manager who can be provided with the right resources, i am encouraged at Conte's attacking flair system, but it wont work if he doesnt have the right players, which ultimately speaking was why he failed at atalanta, not to mention he didnt have perinetti working with him like he did at bari and now at siena. Whether marotta can meet Conte's needs like perinetti did remains to be seen

Exactly. Even though I hate Delneri and I'm convinced he's nothing more than mediocre, I think much of the blame should be targeted at Marotta. I know Conte has the right character and determination, but that's not enough if Marotta keeps fucking it up.

Now that I calmed down... welcome capitano!

I just wish that you have balls like Didier and show the way to all those mofos running our club.
