DD is indeed a more established coach and a very good one at that but I am not sure if the Agneli's didn't burn their bridges with him 4 years ago when he left, so not sure if he could be termed "available" ... either way, Conte has all the stuff he needs to succeed at Juve above all, however, he has the Juve mentality and that would be key in turning this sorry bunch of individuals, del Neri had mastered, into a team.
I'm hoping you're right.

Rofl, Neddy said that he was asked to be our coach before Conte.
Thats really shows how much we value Conte and the coaching sit as a whole...
We just want someone to sit on the bench, so it wont look vacant, thats explains may things, esp regarding the direction of our board at Juve's future.
If they are trusting the ship to a 1.5mil coach, it shows how much they care for it...
They only care about the appearance and an efficient way to milk from Juve's jersey, i hope that Juve fans wont be stupid to give them tickets and someday soon, they will be forced to sell the club to someone who actually cares for it!

I would love to see a training ground incident where someone like Motta was laughing after scoring an own-goal or something and Antonio runs onto the pitch and drop-kicks him into the face. Then turns and stares the rest of the team out of it.

I don't want to see anyone laughing, smiling or anything like that after a bad performance.

A dream will come true for Antonio Conte today when he puts pen to paper to become the new Coach of Juventus.

Conte, who has just led Siena into Serie A, will replace Gigi Del Neri who has been shown the door less than a year after taking charge.

The 41-year-old is a former Juventus midfielder who spent 13 years with the outfit after leaving hometown club Lecce in 1991.

He retired from the game in 2004 and, after a spell as an assistant Coach at Siena in 2005-06, he took charge of Arezzo a season later.

He then led Bari to Serie A promotion before an unhappy stint at Atalanta in Serie A. He returned to the bench last summer in Tuscany.

Conte’s coaching ambition has always been to boss his beloved Old Lady.

The former Bianconeri captain will be in Turin to sign his contract before being unveiled at a Press conference set for 4pm local time.

Conte plays with an elastic 4-4-2 which transforms into a 4-2-4, although he has played with a 4-3-3 at times.

Nedved made no suggestion at all of the offer as recent, just in the past, likely when Secco was still our Sporting director...don't jump before the true call, cron.

There is way too relaxed an attitude to losing with this team, do you not remember seeing Buffon laughing and joking with opposition players after a loss this season?

My hope is that Conte will put a boot up the squads ass, and let them know what it means to play for Juventus.

I'm just shocked that Motta is still a Juve player in next season's squad :D

Antonio Conte might not be our first choice, but at least we have to unite behind him and give him a fair shot. There will be time for mockery if he fails, but at the moment we must support him. I was wishing on AVB, but it wasn't to be. So if Conte is what Nedved as well has seen as a fit coach - i would support him. Regardless of our standings 1st half of the season he must not be mocked.
