I am not saying to win the champions league, but how does it make any sense that we have improved as a squad and we did worse in Europe? The board obviously wanted this third scudetto but I would assume they wanted at least pass the group stages in the cl.
Yes of course they wanted to get in the last 8 , thats why he even mentions it . But next season can u imagine the criticism he would face if we dont win the league ? .
I rather have someone like him who says the truth is ready to walk our , than someone like mancini who will come in and say yes we should win this/that , false dreams/promises.
Conte would not do that to juve . He knows he cant take this team higher , and he wouldnt want to take it lower . 3/3 titles how much higher can you go ? .

I hate his tantrums, every $#@!in season we hear him whining about everything, and I've lost a little bit respect towards him. He think that we reached the end of the cycle? Well let's start a new one, it's not like we are gonna turn into some mediocre team in a few months. We have a good base of players, we are expanding, and in 2015 Adidas deal will start, plus new shirt sponsorship deal. All we need are some tweaks, and our future looks bright. I really don't know what more he wants.

Also I'm curious where he could go, the only viable options I see are Monaco and Tottenham. I doubt Monaco will keep him if they don't win championship next season, or impress in CL. If he think that Juve is having high expectation, than good look at Monaco...

Still, i dont know what kind of argument he had with Agnelli... that no oneknows yet. So it would be a little unfair to assume its all contes doings here. If Agnelli demanded him the CL next season, then obviously this is a problem on agnelli too. But we dont know yet.

But What i know, is that Conte needs to change his mindset regarding some things. Time wil tell.

wich is why we need to keep conte, and slowly evolve the team
Thats the way it is, and thats the ony path we can follow. But he wants players NOW, splash the millions now to win now. He is wrong in this regard.

IM rpetty sure that if we add a couple of sensible players to this team,....we can do wonders in the CL, not necesarilry win it but yes we can compete.
He needs to work on this as a project.. but if he feels his cycle is done... then its done, its over.

Of course we all want the domestic domination, but I am more upset with the way he talks. I am not taking away the results and the trophies that he has won. My problem is he talks so much garbage about the FIGC, and other coaches, and his future. The coach should not be talking about that. Those things should be kept to himself. The media always targets him because they know he will react. And if you look at all three seasons that he was here, he talked about oh I don't know about my future. WE will see. BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Play the fucking game, and stop talking all this shit.

Maybe getting a couple more? maybe 6 in a row?. I would not be mad, not at all.
If he loses the league?. Well it would take an extraordinary fuck up for us, or a very worthy team to take us down...and if that happens then so be it. No team ca wi the league every year...and like i said before.. sooner or later we will lose it...we need to expect that and be prepared for that.

Maybe he just lost the hunger. He doesnt want to lose the league...aor doesnt have the drive to win it once again...and at the same time he feels he cant compete in europe. Its over.

The problem is, Buffon, Barzagli, Pirlo, Lichtsteiner and Tevez (even Chiellini and Llorente to some extent) are all coming to the stage where they will need to be replaced in the next couple of years. There isn't the basis for a long term project with this squad. The options are either go for a few major signings now to have a real go at the CL with this team, or else start rebuilding.

I don't think that Agnelli has ever made that kind of request. Conte is a smart fellow, realizes that 5-6 of our starting players are hitting 30es and their performances will undoubtedly start to deteriorate soon; players like Pirlo, Buffon, Barza, Chiello, Tevez, basically he's finding his way out, blaming mgt for the lack of investment, while in reality he's been given 2-3 excellent players every summer. This team is arguably stronger than the last one, but in Europe we have underachieved. He has to take some of that blame on himself. I also believe that the current system and players that we've brought to integrate with the rest of the team in the past 2 years were in accordance with his desires. Good luck Antonio, I hope you have a wonderful career wherever you choose to go and hopefully our paths will cross again, but by then you'll learn a thing or two.

This Summer, we need to make the change to 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 and add in quality, with a couple of decent bench options

Next Summer, bring in some quality players in their mid 20s, reduce the squads age a little.

Exactly this.
This is probably what Conte is trying to say as well.

Here i totally agree with you he should talk less , not open up to the media the way he does . Also i wonder how come the players love him so much if he keeps saying that they aren't good enough , maybe the players are also under too much pressure . Wonder why marotta/agnelli dont come out and protect conte by saying he is doing more than he was expected to with the players we provided him .
Maybe all the pressure gets built up inside him , and then speaks his heart out to the media which is not good.

This could very well be true.

However, to my mind, a second option exists as well, in which Agnelli does not realize that the squad is in decline currently, and results are likely to be worse the next 2-3 years until a new generation of players reaches their prime. In this scenario, Agnelli really is demanding things Conte knows he cannot give.

And of course there's the third option, in which all of this is just bullshit designed to increase the negotiation power of the respective parties while in truth no one is seriously considering ending the relationship.

I honestly don't know which is true.

So you want our board to say that our players are shit, but Conte somehow made them overperform?

I respect the work he has done, but he really shouldn't be revealing everything like he does.

Well if you dint understand the point then try and understand this .
"Conte and the team is doing a fantastic job with the resources provided to them ,exceeding our expectations ."
Or you really think the players+conte+management knew were going to win 3/3 when they signed conte ?
Have you seen how conte defends isla , peluso ,padoin , gio ? . Does the board do the same thing ?.

The 2nd option is the most unlikely imho, but this all could be blown out of proportions and these 2 might shake hands in the following days, like they did last summer and decide to continue their collaboration. :xfinger:

But really Agnelli should give him a tongue lashing for the statements that he's made.

Like I've said before. I am a big Conte fan, i'd love for him to stay and he's right to demand some ambition from the board

However, his repetitive disrespecting of the club is not on. He's making us look bad in the media and despite he, himself complaining about the press he's giving them a tonne of amunition to attack Juve with.
