we won today because of enthusiasm and energy, not tactics.

isolating Vuci when you have a conveyor belt of FWs on the bench?

Vidal's role is still unclear, and Pepe is just hopeless.

play 4-3-3 for Gods sake.

Conte: 'No Scudetto promises'

Antonio Conte put a dampener on Scudetto talk after Juventus pushed Milan aside. “We won’t make any promises.”

The Bianconeri are still joint top of the table with Udinese after beating the Rossoneri 2-0 with a couple of late goals.

“I have throat pastilles and honey before the game now, so I get to the final whistle with a bit of voice left,” croaked the Coach.

“We certainly deserved a goal earlier, but against a side like Milan with stars like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Antonio Cassano and Urby Emanuelson, they could so easily have pulled something out of the hat.

“It would’ve been a terrible blow, as we played so well with the right grit, determination and application. I didn’t make many substitutions, as I was afraid I’d ruin the perfect balance of the side.

“The important thing is to always think like a team and that was the best lesson from tonight. We know that to win this type of match, we must always put the individual talents to the service of the team.

“We are still studying to be a big team, but tonight’s game proved we are on the right track. We have many great players, but this year we need them to become champions.”

Naturally there is talk of Juve as Scudetto contenders, but Conte is eager to put on the dampeners.

“It’s too early to make predictions or pick ambitious targets. Tonight was our first big test and if we had got it wrong, I’m well aware we’d have been massacred in the media.

“The fans have been disappointed too many times in recent years and so we will not make them any promises.”

Milos Krasic was substituted and had another disappointing performance.

“I replaced Krasic at the 60th because he picked up a knock. He worked for the team and adapted to defending more than he was used to. It’s inevitable it’ll take time to get that potential out of him.”
