Realistically it's a 5-3-2 though. Just because it says on the team sheet it's a 3-5-2 doesn't mean we play it like that. It would be a 3-5-2 if we had Avles and Alba as our wing backs from barcelona.

Our teams normally plays very deep in most games making a bank of 5 meaning it's a back 5 not a back 3.

I will shave my head bald if that day ever comes where Conte moves away from the 5-3-2.
he won't completely. let's ssay he gets cerci, menez, cuadrado and bonventura (hypothetical basis) he will most likely play 352 with cuadrado RWB, cerci SS, Menez SS and bonaventua is AM/CM. Then let's say we have someone like Napoli which have very good wingers then we would switch to a 433 or 424. Conte wants juve to be tactically flexible and not restricted without taking away too much quality.

We didn't have a proper striker who could get 20 goals a season. If we had that exact same team but with Cavani up front the results would be much different that season.

I would be fine with that as we would have a much more attacking team which is what we lack right now. Against napoli we did not make 1 decent scoring opportunity which is a problem with the 5-3-2 right now and personnel we employ with that formation.

Also we never ever press the opposition any more, that was one of our strengths in 11/12 season that has gone missing from our game completely.

It looks more like 3-3-4 against shit teams though, so yeah. Horses for courses.

Amen. Our mid is pretty good but looks totally disjointed from our forwards. Thats what i said earlier..theres no cohesion... no link up. Ech of our attacking players out there are in an island...each one on their own trying to create something.

Its because in italy, theres a lack of quality and mentality to stop us, specially quality. Too much fodder trying to stop our good players.

But when a team is inspired in the right way, and properly set up against us, they give us all sort of troubles.

In europe, big teams have more than enought quality to give us an early scare and turn us into a defensive coward team from the get go.
couldn't agree more with the no linking up of midfield and forwards in the final third. Clearly an issue.

But even teams like roma who supposedly play better football than us and are attacking and have fast wingers etc...we still pumped them 3-0...it still doenst make any sense to me.

as for Tevez...I think he can play multiple roles. I think he goes and finds or fetches the ball deeper because we do have a lack of creative play in the final third. We rely on Pogba and Vidal to push up and of course Lich and Asamoah and often when they are pressed back and Vidal and Pogba are doing the hard stuff in midfield, quick transitions in play means Tevez needs to go deep to get the ball. I'm thinking if we had an attacking midfielder/playmaker or some wingers to direct play through and bridge the spaces or gaps to help create for Tevez, he wouldn't be searching so deep. In saying that he has been impressive when going deep to help set up play. He just needs that extra player to help link up with and although Llorente can be good at holding up the ball and laying off passes, often he should be the man getting into position to be the icing on the cake just like Trezeguet was when play was built up from the likes of nedved and del piero.

Talking about what u said about llorente, it doesnt please me seeing him drop sooo deep. It should be by conte´s instructions... but making him drop sooo deep to look for balls doesnt make any sense. We have Tevez for that, and even him shouldnt be dropping so deep so constantly.

Llorente, Like u said.. should be waiting for service and using his energy to press defenders when they start the play.. but thats it. making him run to the midfield and beyond just tires him needlessly.
