Conte demands blood, sweat & tears

Antonio Conte has revealed what he wants from his Juventus players once his appointment is made official.

The Siena tactician will replace Gigi Del Neri in Turin and he’s made his expectations clear in an interview with Tuttosport.

“You have to honour the shirt, the fans and the club,” said the man whose present Bianconeri side crushed Varese 5-0 on Monday night.

“Therefore I want professionalism and attachment to these colours until the very last moment,” he added.

“I like to win, obviously, and I can’t stand players who smile at the end of games which have been lost. This infuriates me.

“My players need to leave the pitch with their shirt dripping with sweat after giving their all. These are the requisites needed to do well. There is no compromise.”

Taking charge of Juventus has been a clear objective for the ex-Bari boss given his time in Turin as a player.

“Not all ex-Juventus players get this call,” he proudly stated. “You have to earn it, you need ideas and plans.

“I’ll do everything in collaboration with President Andrea Agnelli, director Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici.

“Andrea Pirlo? He’ll be one of the two central midfielders, but he will have to play for his place. The starting point will be that we have to keep possession of the ball.”

Conte’s proposed appointment has also been praised by the vocal home support, as well as people such as Fabio Capello and Pavel Nedved.

“It’s useless to deny that the affection is pleasing, it means that I left some good memories behind,” the former Lecce captain continued.

“You are never alone in any stadium, in Italy and around the world, there is always a Bianconeri flag waving. It is a passion without boundaries. This is Juventus.

“For now I have gained two promotions into Serie A which I consider to be good achievements. Results which were gained thanks to a good brand of football.”

It all depends on transfer campaign. With current squad Mourinho or other high profile coach couldn't do better.
