We need 2 goals for just extra time. Do you expect us not to leave our back exposed while we must score 2 goals to keep the dream alive?
Most likely, we will concede. But what's important is how we approach the second leg mentally. We have to go out and give it our all and take one step at a time. The first step must be to take the lead. After that, the entire tie changes form, and we can set a new goal, and take another step. We must continue to fight and believe until we are completely undone.

Now, if they do score that away goal, it will all be over, but until that happens, we must believe, and fight.

I think we can be efficient in our attacks if we want to, it's a risk we have to take but it can be done.
I would really abandon the 3-5-2 and opt for a 4-3-3 in the 2nd leg.

Buffon
Caceres Barzagl Bonucci Chiellini
Pogba Pirlo Marchisio
Giovinco Matri Vucinic

I expect nothing less than a fight from the team after that horror show today.

Its not impossible, knowing that Bayern won't be as concentrated since they've been like Ivan Drago on steroids this season. Improbable, yes. Unlikely, maybe. Impossible, no. But if we score early in the return leg. They're going to get a lot more defensive and they're not good when they don't attack. They lose their rhythm completely. Not that I think it'll happen, but why play the second leg if we don't believe we can do it? Nothing to lose. Go for the juggular.

Do something radical for the second leg, I don't care if we lose 5-0 on aggregate, as long as we try.

4-3-3 with Gio and Vuci on the flanks. Force their fullbacks to stay back and take pressure off the defense that way. No more pissing about, please.

I really doubt they'd get much defensive if they'll concede. They'll keep pressing us starting from our defenders. They know they're too fast for us and their pressing will result in us losing possession quite easily. Our only chance is to score from a set piece or a counter attack.

I agree. It's like when someone has you pushed up against a corner. No matter how big and strong they are, all you really can do is start punching like crazy. That's exactly what we have to do. Go out ALL attack.

Sure, we might lose 5-0, but then again: it might fucking work, and we can turn the tie around.

I don't agree, we have to paralyse Bayern physically. Their side players are not dangerous if they cross deep. We should stuff the middle with physical players and play the patience game, go forward smartly and leave our wingbacks to cover space

Buffon
Barzagli Bonucci Chiellini
Isla Pogba Pirlo Asamoah Peluso
Marchisio
Vucinic

When you go forward with physically strong players like Asamoah and Pogba you allow better movement for Marchisio and Vucinic and leave Pirlo with an easier job to distribute balls. In that case Isla and Peluso (Caceres would also work) can focus on not leaving the back three to defend all by themselves, they go forward but stay put in case we lose possession. We don't need to attack from the sides, we don't have anyone who can take care of lateral balls/crosses anyway.

Exactly, losing 2-0 on agg or 5-0 on agg is the same - we're out either way
