Hey, even I start off the season hot and sweaty--cussing at every Grosso fuck up--by January, I watch the game, have lunch and go sleep.
Thats funny because that was me last year as well. After that Parma humiliation I starting laughing things off as well. I hate how we've kinda become accustomed to losing games. Terrible Terrible. I remember when I was a boy and going into my teens thinking how it would be to watch Juve games etc with my kids. Now I am 26 I have twin girls 19 months old and preying Juve turn it about before they actually know the meaning of what they watch with me every weekend.

I often wonder about that as well.

I am sure I'll make all of my nephews and nieces Juve-fans. I'll do my part, I hope the team does their part.

Yeah, I used to see a lot of Juve-jerseys a few years back, even in Norway. I rarely see them at all now. When I'm walking or jogging past football fields etc. it's always the same now, Barcelona, Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter, Milan, Liverpool...

But who can blame the kids/youth, really?

How are they supposed to cling to players such as Martinez, De Ceglie, Chiellini, Krasic, Pepe etc. when the Messi's, Ronaldo's and Rooney's of the world are out there?

God I miss players like Zidane. Davids. Nedved. Del Piero in his prime. Trezeguet. Zlatan.

The club needs to turn this shit around. Our aging fanbase ain't getting a lot of new recruits these days.

True. Whenever I speak to people younger than me and ask them about which club they like it's always one of teams above, when I say Juve they are like :wth: "They suck".

They always ends up getting a football-lecture by me though.

Hehe good, then you're doing your part, but they have a point, though.

Kids here under 18 don't even know who Juve are--just an Italian team.
It's very very sad and it fucking breaks my heart. I just hate that it's gone to this. But as Freddie Mercury (aka God) put it: "No time for losers."

Losers will convince people to think that football and sport in general is about "competing" and some will even say it's about the social aspects and all that nonsense. To this I say: Wrong. It's about winning. And when you don't win, you lose. Simple. What does losing mean in our context? Fan-exodus, not being able to recruit as many fans as before, loss of status, loss of respect, loss of revenue, the list goes on and on.

The Juve of the past kept her mouth shut and did her talking on the pitch. It was a winning machine. Amici di nessuno, no smiles after defeats, no patting on the back, no talk of "finishing 3rd" as if it was some sort of achievement.

I realize we can't go there overnight, but this is where this club belongs, and I really hope we get back there.

Second that +rep. I attitude is just so different. Whether you hate them or love them Moggi and Co. has a well oiled tuned machine and had a coach to boot. With Conte being apart of that and being a Captain I am hoping he will insight the management and with the help of Nedved and Del Piero once he hangs up the boots that attitude will be back.

Very impressive tonight, specially the spirit we lacked for years.

If we go on playing like this the whole season this team could start winning trophies again, I'm getting hopeful

Well, that was the first time I've seen Juve this season.

Looks to me, on that evidence, that the 4-4-2/4-2-4 will result in some brilliant, fast, attacking football when things are going well and be horribly vulnerable when things aren't going well.

It doesn't look like a system suited to grinding out result week in week out like you need to to achieve anything in Italy.

Before todays matches, the whole off season felt like as if delneri was still in charge of this team; however, I liked what I saw today and we had our fair share of controlling the game.
hopefully this form will last through out the next season and everything goes right for this man.

But...

We have a good squad to switch over to a 433 when needed. Give us a nice new CB and LW we will be very annoying for opponents. Start with a 433 or 424...doesn't matter because we can easily adjust mid game if necessary when things are going horribly wrong.
