I guess we don't learn from our mistakes at all at this club... going back to a coach who has done nothing in Serie A, and i know some of you will probably say he hasn't gotten a chance, well we are in no position to be giving anyone a trial run - even if that person is a former capitano. I can only see us in the same place next year this time if this goes through...we need coaches who know what it takes to win at the very highest level FFS!!!

Conte all set for Juventus

Antonio Conte has moved into pole position to succeed Gigi Del Neri as the Coach of Juventus.

Del Neri is expected to be shown the door once the campaign comes to an end and it looks like the former Juve midfielder will be his replacement.

According to reports, Conte held talks with the Old Lady on Sunday night when he met with director general Beppe Marotta and his assistant Fabio Paratici in Milan.

Conte, who was also the club captain as a player, has apparently agreed, in principal, a two-year deal worth €1.5m a season.

The details of the meeting and financial package come just a day after Siena, who Conte has just helped get promoted to Serie A, seemed to make the tactician available to the Turin giants.

Juventus have been assessing their coaching options for the past three months and have been linked with numerous men.

Zenit boss Luciano Spalletti and Manchester City’s Roberto Mancini proved to be unobtainable.

Juventus were also linked with Napoli Coach Walter Mazzarri, but they don’t want to strain their relationship with the Azzurri seeing as he is under contract.

Porto boss Andre Villas Boas is also known to have been wanted by Juve, yet the Portuguese’s €15m release clause is a major stumbling block.

Nevertheless, some whispers suggest Juve could make one last attempt to net Villas Boas, even if they are unlikely to succeed.

Although there has been no official word from Juventus, recent statements from Turin indicate that changes are on the horizon.

Juventus official Pavel Nedved, just yesterday, praised Conte. “He’s a true Coach,” said the Czech. “He was already one on the pitch when he played. He’ll have a great coaching career.”

Meanwhile, Juventus President Andrea Agnelli last night expressed his dissatisfaction at Juve’s efforts during the past campaign.

“I’m not happy, in fact, I’m extremely unsatisfied, but we’ll wait until the end of the championship,” he said. “We still have a game to play, when that’s over we’ll speak about next season.

“There’s a lot of disappointment because at the end of this season it has become apparent that some new arrivals haven’t understood what Juve is about and others who knew have forgotten.”

i think im just going to take a break from football, last year was bad, this year was worse, i dont think i can take another year of more incompetance and mishaps.
I told myself the same thing after last season, and still I sat like a mindless zombie in front of the tv, facepalming to the point of visible skin wear on my forehead all season long.

Zaccherioni said he is ready to take over in January next year, always at the disposal, he assuring us that he is capable to bring back "old" campione del mondo in Pirlo, because it will be easy,Zach's the man

Just give him good players, thats the most important thing. Don't get us Conte and then end up signing him a bunch of Pazienza's, of course he'd fail then. Even Mourinho would.

I guess their choice of Conte is because he was an influential captain, so he's the right man to let players understand the meaning of playing for Juve.

still he needs the full support of the management, conte needs to work with players he feels are adequate, and not those of the management, this is why i hate the whole idea of general managers, they cause too many problems

Antonio Conte: Juventus' Sebastian Giovinco Is The Right Substitute For Diego
The Italian coach believes Giovinco is on the same level as Diego...

Former Juventus midfielder Antonio Conte believes Sebastian Giovinco is the right man to replace Brazilian ace Diego for tonight's clash against Bordeaux.

The Italian youngster has been given the nod and the wink by his coach Ciro Ferrara after injuries ruled out Diego and Alessandro Del Piero.

Conte feels 'La Formica Atomica' will offer his side plenty of options.

"Giovinco is the perfect replacement for Diego," Conte told Radio Radio.

"I would have him in my team always. He is ready and he can construct his own future at Juventus. No-one can beat the opposition like he does."

The former midfielder has also given his views on the Scudetto race with bitter rivals Inter.

"The title will be fought between those two teams and the winners will be the ones with the coach who knows how to manage the season.

"It will be a showdown between [Ciro] Ferrara and [Jose] Mourinho."

Perhaps he may want Giovinco back?
