hmmm so we've gone from being linked with the likes of Capello, Ancelotti, Van Gaal, Mancini, Villas Boas to almost certainly appointing Conte. Reminds me Alonso to Poulsen and Hidink to Zacceroni all over again. :(

It's like this club has lost all self respect

    Tacchinardi backs Conte choice

Alessio Tacchinardi believes Antonio Conte is the right man to get Juventus back on the road to glory.

Conte is being hotly tipped to succeed Gigi Del Neri on the Juve bench once this season comes to an end.

“He’s the right Coach to relaunch Juventus,” Tacchinardi, a former teammate of Conte with the Bianconeri, told Radio Sportiva.

“I had the good fortune to play alongside Conte and he was a Coach on the field of play. He always had the desire to win.

“Antonio knows what winning means. I knew that he would follow his playing career by becoming a great Coach.”

However, Tacchinardi did admit that a lot depends on how Conte deals with expectations in Turin.

“We’ll just have to see how he reacts to the pressure and there will be a lot there,” continued the former Italian international.

“However, I do think that he has the right personality to take on this challenge even if it won’t be easy. He’ll be taking on this side and trying to get it back to winning ways.”

Conte has led Bari and Siena to Serie A promotion in his coaching career so far, but his only brief spell in Serie A with Atalanta ended in disappointment.
