Surely, they won't send Giovinco away for Candreva?
They wont, and I'm baffled some here are seriously considering it as a viable option, things its something we should do or can be done. Especially so since I seen Candreva and Giovinco play together in Azzurrini for 18 months, the mere idea that the star of that Azzurrini and the major talent, will be used as a bargaining chip for Candreva who was just the versatile and useful squad player to sub in whatever midfield position needed (not starter, but was good, can play wing, hardworking, CM, AM, box to box dynamic inbetween midfielder) , is something I would majorly loled at if you asked me this then.

I mean, seriously people. Giovinco is neglected too much in our team. But even if I like Candreva, we will NOT ship out Gio just to get him. EVERY GOD DAMN rumour links Giovinco in it, every single one for a year and a half now. I mean latest being FRIGGING Lanzafame being taken back and us supposedly giving up Gio. This the ROUTINE BS of the media, any Serie A (lower level mostly) player we want, they automatically insert us sacrificing Gio for him (I seriously mean almost everyone, Amauri, D'Agostino, Kolarov, Ledesma, Lanzafame just to name few). Mark should know this best, considering he tracks these rumours way more then us, its just routine BS and wishful thinking of these clubs.

I would like clarification on Gio's role in our future. I think we would all sleep better knowing whether or not he will be integral or not.

Just imagine if we didnt own Giovinco, and Udinese did, and he was at loan at Livorno, or Empoli as back then, and impressing as he did despite starting less then Candreva, impressing way more then he has (done good, just no Gio). Imagine the dogfight it would be between the top clubs in Serie A? I would seriously doubt us getting ahead of the rest in aquiring his services, despite being 1 of just 3 who should get him (unless pesky Viola "convinced" him they are a proper alternative to showcase yourself). But if we did, it would been awesome.

Now snap out of that imagination, and get back to the real world, to where we own this player and has been our player for over a decade through our academy, and how criminally we are neglecting his obvious talents (flawed, inconsistent, but still clearly neglecting it). I get all tingly and fuzzy just knowing this, dont you?

i agree but on top of that i think we need a coach who is really good at man management, because i think if this goes on giovinco will really take mental damage by this crap ... how much crap can you take when the media is always on you and everybody tells you you are great and wanted but the fucking coach wont ever give you a proper chance?

even if the coach does not play him he needs to explain to him why and what he can make better or on what to work on for him to regain a spot. ciro is surely so out of his depth that he got other worries than talking to giovinco ... man he can not even handle players that already have a good form and hinder them becoming crap ... how could we even one moment think about ciro having a positive effect on any players form?

Yeah, seriously, I GOT why Ranieri didnt like using him even if I vehemently disagreed with it to the core. But Ciro, has barely had time to consider Gio, firstly, Gio HAS been benched for good reason at first, we have Diego and him playing or competing with him for the first 11 was obviously no go, Gio is supposed to have been working the bench and getting his chances to show he is worth more, no can do with competing with the attack due to the preferences of two strikers.

But for a coach that has had zero clue of how to play except lineup a prettily shaped formation and hope things work out, its bit hard to get any consideration, especially when he is busy trying to "show" his worth as a coach. Its seriously unconvenient sitaution to try to break into a team for young upstarts (that certain position), when the coach obviously has other "priorities" (getting a clue, or convincing others you have any). As you said, corious to see how Gio fares under a proper coach who gives him some consideration, of how to use him or what it requires of him to be used, then see how things go from there.

P.S Hiddink isnt the solution to everything, but if we somehow get him. Expect good things for Gio, considering he quite likes penetrating wing forwards.
