i think we should sell him and move on.

if we cant do that then try him as a lb. he has those nice runs with the ball that he does, and he can cross. it could be usefull as lb and he will be less needed to use his brain there.

He is too lacking in aggression for someone with his build. I never took him to be a smart defender but I took him to be an all muscle-no brain defender which could be very useful (like Pepe). So far he has really disappointed and doesnt show the kind of aggression or even effort that I hoped he'd have. You can say all you want about Pepe being as dumb as a rock but he hunts down players like a mad animal and thats what I expect from Ogbonna even if its at a lower level.

Now I am hoping that Allegri can be to him like Conte was to Bonnucci. I am hoping that Allegri can figure out a role for him where his strengths are emphasized and his weaknesses are limited. Does anyone see in him any ball-playing ability? Because if he is neither a smart defender (silva, Barzagli) nor an aggressive animal (pepe, chiellini) nor a ball player (luiz, Hummels, Bonnucci) then he is just $#@!. Maybe we can loan him out to another team so that he gets 1st team football regularly and we could evaluate his strengths and weaknesses better? I don't want to give up on him because he is young and we paid a good sum of money to have him.
He has his dumb passes too, so we should no rely on him for that. TBH he is like the krasic of the defenders...all run and no brain...i think he is even worst than krasic in the sense that krasic ran a lot.. but i want to throw a brick to my TV everytime i see him joggign with no urgency of whats going on around him...

Agree with almost all of that apart from loaning him and his age
He's old enough to be expected to not be fucking terrible, and we should cut our losses ASAP

Rugani has been playing much better than Ogbonna has this season, and people tend to forget Ogbonna was actually playing awful in his last season with Torino, he's just not good.

It's too late for him to suddenly develop a football brain, so smarts is out of the question

If he can't muster up any aggression at this point, that's gone too. Look at how he jogs back towards fucking goal when there's an attack happening it's pathetic.

His passing is bang average, plus he's prone to the odd stupid pass.

Beppe is love, Beppe is life but this investment was a bad one. Cut losses and never look back.

He used to be good for Torino or so they say I honestly never watched him but he was good to the extent that he was getting NT calls and we paid a lot to get him and tons of people wanted him here. Rugani could very well turn out the same and thats why I am always saying wait before you start fapping. Bonnuci and Ranochia were the most solid defensive partnership for a season ironically with ranochia being the better player. Santon was hailed as the next zanetti for a few good matches. We all praised DC to the sky after the Milan performance he gave.

Be moderately excited as a young player performing for a shit team is better than not performing at all.

And we agreed 12 mil transfer price for Ogbonna. And then that garbage town rats started to make an auction and we have to pay and additional 3 mil more.Okay half price or something like that was accepted by giving immobile rights of 50%.Anyhow too much.

All of this is true... but well...lets try Rugani and pray he develops as a great defender.

What we know now, is that Ogbonna is very ordinary and has no space in Juventus, a team that historically always have had solid defenders.

He is very average, torino quality at best,

Report: Juventus plan to sell Angelo Ogbonna after Champions League snub

Now into the last eight, Juve are closing in on the semi-finals after a 1-0 home win against Monaco on Tuesday night, with Arturo Vidal scoring a penalty to win the game. However, one notable absentee from that game was centre back Ogbonna, who wasn't even in the squad despite starting against Parma just days earlier. The 26-year-old has long been highly rated in Italy, but manager Massimiliano Allegri preferred to put a half-fit Andrea Barzagli on the bench instead of Ogbonna.
Now, Calcio Mercato believe that his omission from the squad is Juventus' first step to selling Ogbonna at the end of the season - and Tottenham may well be interested in that news.Tuttosport reported earlier this month that Spurs were interested in signing the Italian international as manager Mauricio Pochettino seeks to upgrade his defensive options.

Putting Barzagli on the bench instead is hardly a snub. You can only have a 7-man bench in the CL, and Barzagli almost always comes on to finish a game with the 3-5-2 if we are leading.

if we sell him we have to bring in another defender during this summer transfer window.Looks like we will be looking for a big time defender in one of the next several transfer windows.imagine one of our defenders get injury in during next season we need to another defender who can cover for our injuries.
