If we are playing a 3-5-2, you need to have a good distributor of the ball in midfield, if you don't the formation will be flat and will lack creativity.

That being said, Ogbonna has very good distribution from the little i've seen of him so far, and was brought in as a Vice-BonBon

yes and conte sees that. Ogbonna has terrific pass for defender. On the other hand to a lesser extent than bonucci he is prone to errors. I ve seen him last year and he had some blunders. Thats why i dont think hes direct chielli replacement. He'll play there if needed but his tech would be wasted.

Sry for bad english. Stupid phone.

I'm very happy he did well. ok it was vs that fat blob but you can see the talent there. :D I was surprised he'd want to come here since we already had the Azzurri defense here. I guess he knew he'd be better than BonBon. The fee also was a problem IF we didn't use the rest for other more important necessities like a LWB...

How could they think that? Anichebe touched the ball with his feet like 3 or 4 times.

Yes but he 'put the frighteners into Ogbonna', 'never gave him a moment's peace', and all the other clichés that British observers and their imitators use to describe donkeys with very limited ability.

Not going to lie, I was more excited when we signed Ogbonna than Tevez. Been a fan of this guy for years. I think he'll do wonders here.

Everton fans seem to think Anichebe had him for breakfast, just because they got into a physical battle.
Anichebe is a big dude with muscle, no question. But I thought Ogbonna more than held his own with him. Despite some defensive lapses (more minor ones), he did well as really our only holding centerback. Meanwhile, what impressed me most were his runs upfield... almost a little Pepe-like with how well he transitioned from CB to a driving midfielder who could swing momentum.

most important, we had no leader for the defence.
Put barzagli there, and then see how it gets 520x better
