Not entirely true Josh.
You dont think your association with Burke and you constantly supporting him under fire costs you some in the objectivity department? Look at it like a third person peeking in. Thats what cost you.

Otherwise you would have been a perfect candidate even in my book, even more so than Swag due to your presence here and your rapport with everybody- swag has less of both. IMO.

Although I'm not questioning your statement about me... I'm sorry but I favor real life friendships over a forum, so of course I would be behind Burke. Sue me. ;)

What I'm talking about though is your statement about Zlatan not being involved in trivial, angry arguments with other members. He most certainly has Josh, including petty arguments with Vinman and Nick, so why should something like this be used against me?

Its not a matter of petty arguments, Andy. Everybody has those. I recall Martin having those, Mikhail and Fecal, etc etc. Those are bound to happen when you interact with people.

With you and Burke it was different. It was more than a petty argument as the whole forum was involved, either as participant, victim, or audience. From what I read, in retrospect even Claire was peanuts compared to Burke. Burke was the real deal in terms of being controversial. And whats funny is he wasnt even working at it- it came naturally to him. :D

The correct stance would have been to remain neutral with Burke on Juventuz and kept a low profile. At least that way you wouldnt be seen as "permissive toward his activities".

In the end it isnt worth the sacrifice. Your just to free-spirited, and you should be glad you are. As a mod you have to censor all your emotions, biases and preferences. Can you imagine posting in that kind of character?

Selecting Zlatan as a mod is almost as bad as having Bes as a mod. Ridiculous first move by Marty.

:p
Though his choice of swag is a sublime signing. As for the next promising youngster as mod, my vote goes for Jeeks. I lurk alot here and his post normally standout. Jeeks for mod!

I dream of Tom's comeback out of retirement. Maybe Zizou's recent decisions for les bleus could tempt Tom to come out of retirement. Oh the glory days. He hit his peak, sticky'ing (essentializing) the Trance/House thread. I think Elnur could vouch for me here
:D

Josh, if u stick around, imho u would be the perfect outsider/old school to do the job.
John, I still recall getting a PM from Martin asking me if I was interested in a moderator position. I respectfully declined the offer at that time due to an unstable schedule.

I wouldnt mind a moderating position as participating here has been great fun for me. However I will be unable to stick around this time also- the same problem that prevented me from accepting the position back in 1999.

Ironic, isnt it? ;)

It's good to see Swag has become a moderator. He's the most deserved of anyone on this forum.
Awww shucks. Thanks, Andy. :touched: You've been one of the biggest supporters for me on this. Hopefully neither of us will want to kill each other later for it. :cheesy:

Well, if I was planning a moderation candidacy, I might have done that. However, I'd rather be behind Burke than a forum; people should be able to understand that, I'd hope.

In the end it isnt worth the sacrifice. Your just to free-spirited, and you should be glad you are. As a mod you have to censor all your emotions, biases and preferences. Can you imagine posting in that kind of character?
Not sure. If I was a mod though I would still rip into football posts and show some of these posers how it's done.

Can you state what I'm not objective about? If it's football matters you know you're wrong.
You ones said yourself that you and Zlatan "tend to push opinions down peoples throats", which I think is a correct statement.
I guess objective wasn't the correct term to use. But still, if you were to become mod "I think" would be better to use than "It will" if you catch my drift. :)

Don't get me wrong though, I'm in full support for you to become mod.

Yes, I am a very opinionated person. If a moderator is not allowed to express his opinions, then maybe the job is not right for some people.

Oh, and thanks man. However, that is not gonna happen now. :)

I didn't say you wouldn't be allowed to have opinions, I meant there are other ways to express them. You already have a big influence on people on this site..

You go both ways. :D

Na seriously I think its for the good. Could be because I often share your opinion, if its my own or if I'm one of your victims I don't know. ;)
