Are you on ICS I take it? Try this, you can configure haptic feedback by going to Settings > Advanced > Audio and haptic feedback

I hate that kind of feedback. Always turn off both audio and haptic feedback for screen touches.
i like it :D

Are you using an alternative keyboard?
no, the stock one. but it's not just the keyboard. it does it with everywhere/

Seriously though, HTC are poop, gotta get yourself a Samsung
=/ i like the htc build, they're heavier and feel more solid. one of my friends had a SII for less than a year and had to replace it because it was defective

Each to their own I guess. Would you consider changing to HTC's new 8 series phones? I'd find it hard to make the leap to a windows phone personally but they are a nice design and really user-friendly.

I played around with HTC 8X and 8S. One is a high end and the other a mid-range WP8. Both have the fluidity you can only dream of on most Android phones, even the quad-core ones. And I love Android, but WP8 is something special. Not just refreshing new UI, but the responsiveness of the whole system has blown me away.

No blasphemy about it, that's the way it is, I gotta give credit where it's due. I doubt I'm ever gonna buy it and switch away from Android, I'm too pro-Google to do that, but say if I got a high-end Nokia or HTC with WP8 as a present....there would be a serious dilemma in my head. :D
