Battery life on my S3 is driving me insane, any hints or tips? I've tried power saving mode, decreasing the brightness, changed some of the developer options, deleted a ton of apps, tried those app killer widgets and I just can't seem to knock more then 14 hours life outta the damn thing.

Do you use the power save mode? Keep a dark wallpaper to minimize battery usage by the amoled. keep brightness at less than 45%

Yep Ive all these practices implemented. I'm usually at 30% battery by 6pm. Is there a larger capacity battery that doesn't necessitate the requirement for a replacement back which will add a lot of bulk to the phone?

@gray: Are you seeing any battery drain issues with the N4? I'm seeing a few sites reporting that problem.

Keep the screen brightness at 20-25% max, turn off GPS, WIFI and 3G when you don't need it. Check the apps that sync a lot(emails, Skype, Google+ etc.) and increase sync duration to about 1 hour rather than Push or 5 mins. Try to use dark wallpapers(or like I do, a completely black wallpaper). And try using this app called JuiceDefender. Might add a few hours.

There might be I dont recall for sure. Although that sounds a bit weak. I usually made it to 9 pm with 30% have you tried to discharge the phone till death then charge it while off ?

Yeah I often let it die and then give it a full charge with no difference made. Is it possible it's just a dud battery? I'm envious of the Note 2's battery, seems to last a day and a half, or at least my work colleagues' does :(
I'm sure there are such batteries available.
I've seen a few Chinese batteries online with mAH of 2400+ which would probably add a couple hours, but don't know how reliable they are?

I think Gray posted an article about how letting Lithium ion batteries to die fully is not good. I usually charge mine when it drops below 15%.

If nothing works, get the phone serviced by Samsung. There might be something wrong.

Check forums like XDA Developers and see what batteries those geeks recommend. :D

Cheers for all your help Sheik  will give that XDA developers site a look. I've literally tried every fix you and AC mentioned, so I'm guessing the battery may well be buggered

My razr lasts day and a half easily, sometimes two. Mainly I browse the internet/tapatalk or play some games from time. I'm really satisfied with that.
My previous phone, Milestone 2 was usually dead after 6 hours :sergio:

The battery life is just average - what you'd expect from a modern smartphone i.e. about a day's worth.

I haven't bothered doing much in the way of kernel tweaking and underclocking.

I do work in a phone shop so I do tend to spend quite a bit of time on my handset, obviously plays a part in my lackluster battery life
