A new setup I'm trying out, which only requires one homescreen:

What phone do you have Gray?

I've just started using my O2X, love it so far (battery could be better, perhaps with the gb update), and its absolutely gorgeous. I love the power widget with all the extra options (sync, bluetooth) and also the battery indicator in the notification bar. Clock is great as well.

Could you tell me whicha apps are those.

Also, could somebody explain to me exactly what a launcher does?

It's Launcher Pro with some widgets. I have the clock widget but always forget what it's called, something along the lines of simi clock or something.

Would anybody be kind and guide me carefully and simply on how to flash a ROM into my HTC desire. I've already rooted the Desire succesfully and now I need to flash a ROM. ROM recommendations are also welcomed.

    Thanks.

    This video should help:

From this video, you can skip the part where he runs that 'recovery.bat' file. Cos if you've rooted the phone properly, then a custom recovery should be installed, and it should show up once you select Recovery from the bootloader menu. Once there, just wipe data/factory and the cache before flashing the new ROM.

What kind of ROM are you looking for? Official 2.3, 2.3 with elements from HTC Sensation, AOSP, Cyanogenmod, MIUI? Based on this selection, I can recommend ROMs.

Oh, and for the best ROMs, bookmark this link.

Thanks a lot bro. I am looking for a ROM with elements of HTC Sensation. Something for a beginner like me. So, are you basically saying that I should not back up with Titanium Backup before I start flashing the ROM. Do I need to do anything like manual back up of the SD card?

    Thank you.
