Went by the store today, looked at some Androids. Didn't like the Samsung Galaxy S too much, seemed kind of unresponsive to the touch. HTC Incredible S has a nice feel to it though.
The Galaxy S, despite being part of the 'older' generation of Android phones (though not by much), ships with really crappy default software (typical of Samsung), but the hardware is great, so once you install a custom rom it will work fine. I've upgraded about 10 of them, and their owners were blown away at the difference.

The Incredible S has a locked bootloader and is currently unrootable, so I'd steer clear for now.

Wildfire is not so bad, better battery life than the bigger ones.

Btw your signature has some problems:

Dio una Domenica invento 'il calcio lo diede alla Juve e gli disse: vai nel mondo ad insegnarlo

The apostrophe before il belongs to invento, in fact it's inventò. Accent or trailing apostrophe are equivalent. Domenica is not spelled with a capital. Then there is alla Juve (feminine) and gli disse (masculine). I propose:

Dio una domenica inventò il calcio, lo diede alla Juve e le disse: vai nel mondo ad insegnarlo.
Edited :D
Defo the Motorola. If for nothing, then the screen alone.
I've had the chance to use both phones, I'd say go for the Defy. The screen on the Wildfire is quite bad. The Defy has a pretty good battery life too, comparable to the wildfire's.
 Thanks all of ya, the only problem i found with the Defy is that it doesn't support 2.3, but is there a significant difference between 2.2 and 2.3?

In India Defy runs 2.1 and Wildfire runs 2.2 out of the box. Both can be rooted to 2.3 afaik. The Defy has a 2GB internal memory which is useful if you aren't rooting the phone.

Edit: Defy is upgradable to 2.2 it seems.

Sheik:

Here is the issue, when I flash a sense or regular rom for some odd reason my phone tends to remember my wallpaper and use launcher pro plus ( had these two like months ago) . I can never get a clean install. I wipe cache and everything , any help.

Ummm.. no. Stop using ROM Manager. Always boot into recovery yourself and do the wipes and installs yourself.

Wipe Dalvik Cache is under Advanced in the recovery. Try that.
Wow..didn't realize that. Thanks a lot man. Charging my phone, then I'll find a sense rom and try a full wipe then flash hopefully things go right this time.
