    A tiny review.

Machine-wise the phone is fantastic, it flies. Its responsiveness is scary. The camera shoots really great pictures and the flash helps a lot when it is darker. And I will not go into filming video as the 720 HD quality speaks for itself. I played a clip on my 42" plasma and no one would know that it was taken from a handheld device.

I still have the same 3G bandwidth but the phone is so much faster that it improves the entire internet experience drastically. I am impressed.

Sense have improved a lot since I last used it, I like HTC likes and their hub. I like the Sense security you get on the internet but it still irritates me that they cripple Android.

CM based ROMs can be more customized into more details. I don't know how it is on Google ROMs because I have never had a Nexus but from what I experienced from CM ROMs that they look more intact, they are raw but I like the rawness.

Another tiny detail is the home screen, Sense's home screen does not rotate.

I don't know if the controls came in Gingerbread as they are not available in the notification field. I know Samsung has had controls in the notification since their ever first releases.

And the fact that Sense is everywhere on the phone makes the feeling that it is a Sense UI not an Android which is sometimes good by the way, like the linking and the dialer.

Stick android isn't as customizable as a CM ROM. All the customization you see is 3rd party. And I love some of the Sense integrations, especially the dialer. And none if the Sense phones except the Desire Z will let you rotate the screen.

And yes, the control is the notifications area was introduced in stock Android, but HTC never used that in their roms. I think it will be included in all gingerbread roms.

I wasn't talking about my phone specifically, I was mentioning Sense in general. HTC somehow cripples their Android and I really hope they introduce controls in the notifications area.

Do you have last used programs in your notification area?

No I don't. The last used programs was only introduced from Desire Z and Desire HD onwards.

You should try Extended Controls. It doesn't literally show the controls there, but it'll let you open customized notification widget from the notification area to change them. In fact, you can bring it up by pressing and holding the search button.
