There's a place here in town that can unlock anything (at least that's what it says on the sign). Come over and they'll do it for you.

Yo Sheik-Oh, seems like my ancient first HP laptop has given up on me. I get the "Non-system disk or disk error". Can't run the HDD self test in BIOS either, it's greyed out. I'ma try and boot with some live CD but I ain't holding much hope. After 6/7 long years one HP Compaq is no more. Just thought you should know.

Sheik any reason why when my phone runs out of battery and I plug it into the charger it boots into clockwork recovery?

Gongratz C! Where did you get it from?
There are probably unlock-codes on the net, but think it screws the warranty.

Telus just got it like last week, so I picked it up from there. I think my warranty was up from before anyway, the back plate is loose on my magic and I never bothered to get it fixed.

I need to enter a code for it to unlock. It starts up with the lock screen and when I slide it down, it tells me to enter the code, and that's all I can do right now.

Oh ok. Which site did you ask the unlock code from? mobileincanada.com?

EDIT: Also, did you try following the next step anyway? Cos I think most phones have the USB Debugging option enabled by default. Did you try making a Goldcard?
