Yep. How long did it take for you? I might as well do it now that I have some free time, and also because the lagging of my phone is driving me nuts.
It didn't take long but it was difficult to find the right way to do it, the regular methods for rooting Magics do not work on Rogers and on the Magic I have.

Let us start by seeing what do you have for recovery, and Radio. Turn your phone off, turn it on by holding the home button, then write down everything you see there and paste in here.

I will try to find you a straight forward way to root your phone.

Holding the home button didn't do anything, but I think this was the info you wanted?

He agreed to this the day he signed up for this forum and showed that he was a technological genius. :D
I wouldn't say a technological genius. I'm just very good at troubleshooting and giving instructions.

Woah! Very nice! Which BW clock skin is that?

edit: How did you add navigation to the dock?
The clock widget is gTab simi clock.

I added the navigation just like adding any other shortcut to the dock, long press, change shortcut and so on.

Might flash cyanogen mod 7 unto my G2 , sheick any idea on any bugs? heard it worked good but it's stilla nightly build
I wouldn't try the CM7 just yet, it is still buggy.

As for my wallpaper, it comes with the MOD, I will upload it if someone can point out where the system wallpapers are located.

This does not look really good, I had some trouble with mine as Rogers and 3 (my operator) locked the phone pretty well when we got the Sense update. This guide might work, if it doesn't work for you, I will translate the Swedish guide I got.

Most of them say that a goldcard is needed, I did not do goldcard for mine and it worked fine.
