I think Im done with Android , after almost two years and 5 different phones all constantly getting buggier as time goes by, I'm going back to iPhone when iPhone 5 arrives, sure their isn't as much customization, but the stability and usability is unparalleled.

Sheik: Definitely worth another try. It's got a bit of a learning curve, but it feels like a whole new level of awesomeness once you get it.

What does it do?
It basically lets you automate anything and everything on your phone. You define a condition (e.g. a time range, location, connection to a particular WiFi network), and set actions for when that condition is met.

For example:

* When I'm using Maps or Navigation, it automatically turns on my GPS and display auto-rotation, and sets screen brightness to 100%. Also when I receive an SMS while driving, it reads the message to me. If I get a phonecall, it activates bluetooth so I can take the call using my headset.
* When I get within 150m of my house, it switches on WiFi and connects to my home network, and makes notifications + ringer audible.
* When my battery reaches 15%, it dims the display, turns off auto brightness and deactivates autosync.
* When I have classes, my phone is set to silent.

The possibilities are endless! It's a bit complicated to use, but a lot of you guys are geeks and shouldn't find it too difficult.

Other things you might do:
Turn on GPS and record your parking spot location when your phone is undocked
Send a message to your wife saying you'll be home in 20 minutes when you leave work
Turn off vibration when your phone is lying on a flat surface
Poll a weather server, and have it wake you up 30 minutes earlier on cold days so you can warm up the car
